Nope. The names themselves refer to the sub series, which often originates on but is independent from it's namesake.
Hence Game Boy Wars 2 and 3 not being called Game Boy Color Wars on the GBC, and Advance Wars DS and Advance Wars Days of Ruin not being called DS Wars or DS Wars Days of Ruin.
The reason we don't have any Advance Wars is because Intelligent Systems has been working on a bunch of other games in the meantime. If a game comes out, it'll almost certainly still be called Advance Wars because of the brand name recognition that is valued now, rather than the cross promotional names that were used with the Japanese Famicom Wars and Super Famicom Wars.
If a Battalion Wars successor comes out on NX though, that will almost certainly receive a name change since there's almost no brand recognition there.
