So the parasites used in those superhuman soldiers are different from the parasites used to kill people? Also, what's the deal with the zombies? Are they the result of the first type of parasites (the one who gives you powers) or the second type of parasites (the ones that kill you)?
Because from according to the missions "shinning lights even in death", the zombie dudes are infected with the virus that attack people through language, but for some reason, every time there is a superhuman asshole near you, every normal soldier is turned into a zombie.

This game is a living proof about Kojitard having 0 skill in writing. The other good mgs had Tomokazu Fukushima and Shuyo Murata doing most of the work.

The thing is, you can use their powers through the parasite suit. If you can easily exploit the parasites special characteristics through a suit, why not just equipping every soldier with it instead of, you know, infecting niggers hopping for improbable mutations?

The soldiers infected with Parasites were usually close to death to begin with.
Quiet would have died without the Parasites.
The plot would have been so much better if the parasites weren't used to explain their powers and were just left as the vocal cord parasites. Actually the plot would've been better without the parasites at all and metal gear posing a bigger threat.

it's pretty clearly implied that there's like DOZENS of different types and/or strains of parasites, each with pretty unique effects. Hell, you already can gather at least 4 different sorts of parasites from the different Skull units for your Parasite Suit later on, and then there's those different language killer bugs.
tl;dr: there is tons of genetically engineered little creatures.
