There is nothing wrong with diversity. The problem here is the fact that diversity is being forced, meaning that you can't call it diversity anymore. Just look at how many black guy protagonists games are being released next year just because of SJW shit.
Why is diversity only a topic in predominantly white countries? Why does nobody promote multiculturalism in China or African countries?
Diversity is awesome, but it should be natural diversity and not stupid for-the-sake-of-diversity diversity.
I'm all for a black protagonist or a female protagonist as long as they're an interesting character that fits the story and setting and isn't there solely because agenda.
I don't want "more females and blacks" but I would like more variety than stoic, mildly-sarcastic 30-something white men. But that doesn't mean I hate anything that has them either - I liked all three main protagonists in GTA V to use your image as an example.
My most hyped upcoming game has a brown-skinned female protagonist. But it's not my most hyped because of that, it's my most hyped because it's a sequel to a game I really liked gameplay and atmosphere wise. The MC being a cute brown girl is just a great bonus.

Sadly it's not this simple, but it would be nice. I want to play some cool fuckin' games influenced by cultures that don't get represented in media. I wanna play a Prince of Persia made by Iranians. I wanna play a game about South America that isn't a bunch of bland white soldiers coming in to shoot insurgents or cartels. I don't want to play Norse God of War, I want to play Aztec or Chinese or Babylonian or anything even remotely uncommon God of War.
For the record I'm not actually looking for clones of these games, it's for illustrative purposes. I learned a lot of cool shit from playing games, like history and mythology. I'd like to learn more cool shit by playing games about stuff I don't ever hear about. What I don't want to play is some box ticking pandering bullshit that doesn't actually communicate any truths about the cultures/backgrounds it portrays.

The thing that made me the maddest about the new Ghostbusters was the fact that the black lady was playing the most generic tyler perry sassy black woman character ever. Being typecast like that does nothing for Black people or Black actors and it'd literally do more good if she just wasn't in the movie at all.
