How much money have you spent on TF2? I've spent around $500 maybe.
>>
>>344572564
Only thing I bought was the milkman hat for like 2.50 to have the set bonus.
>>
£30. I had no interest in TF2 when I got The Orange Box and actually didn't play it for months. It then became a favourite game for around 2 years.
>>
>>344572564
~20 on cosmetics, ~$15 on MvM
>>
$0

Get on my level
>>
[Worried laughter]
>>344573458
Nah
>>
About 80€ or something. Mostly taunts and the occasional key that resulted in nothing impressive.
>>
I've spent around $90 and have made around $300 from selling the $90 worth of stuff.
>>
>>344572564
$0 because i am not a moron.
>>
>>344572564
0, honestly why the fuck would you ever spend any money on cosmetic shit in a game
>>
$60 for The Orange Box

I've made at least $2000 on selling virtual bullshit to gullible retards, though
>>
Probably like 40 bucks total, which is sad because I started playing at the F2P update. Never got an unusual, I think my most valuable item is worth maybe 9 bucks.
>>
at least 3000$
I was going through a fucked part of my life and got a gambling addition, I'm better now
>>
>>344572564
Roughly $2000. At one point before it got that bad I even unboxed a hat that made back my investment and then some, but the urge to gamble was too strong. I'm not even rich, I make juuust enough disposable income to support this shitty habit. I try to stop but every update squeezes about $80 out of me. Meet Your Match did this and yesterday I finally had enough, I can't fight the urge so I just uninstalled and plan to sell my items and make up for this latest binge.

Don't put money into this game unless you're loaded or you know exactly what you want and can get it, and never do crates if you know you have a gambling tic, it's so easy to tear yourself apart, don't be a fool like me.
>>
>>344572564
100$?
>>
>>344572564
I remember buying The Orange Box about 6 months before the stuff went free and having the whole debacle about TF2 Premium and all that garbage
>>
>>344574463
I hope you enjoyed your singular shitty all class.
>>
>>344572564
Excluding the assloads of stuff I've bought and sold over the years with keys/metal, maybe $30.
>>
>>344572564
Probably around $50. Everything I got from there i earned it via trading for profit.
>>
>>344572564
TF2 badge keeps track, shows when you click "How do I earn card drops?" mine says $3,078.23
>>
>>344574202
>I've made at least $2000 on selling virtual bullshit to gullible retards, though
You think that, but a minimum wage job would probably have netted more in terms of time-cost investment
>>
>>344575439
>Buying from the in-game store
...why.
>>
>>344572564
Lik 50 cents to get premium and traded metal for taunts/hats
>>
>>344572564
10 bux for the orange box
>>
>>344573535
>spiral knights
It hurts
It had so much potential, all ruined by jews
>>
>>344572564
I bought the game when it cost 20 bucks, can't remember how much else I spent on hats and keys but it was far too much

I bought the game for $20 years ago. I don't think I can respect anybody who has spent money on video game cosmetics.

I heard it was because the actual game designers left or something, now all that's left is designers, so all they release is reskins and shit.
I know exactly how you feel.
>>
>>344575815
Around 97% if the playerbase has. And the other 3% are players that are less than a week in the game.
so you hate everyone.
>>
Twenty bucks? Bought some keys when the whole shebang first started.

That's if you don't count buying the Orange Box in the first place.
>>
>>344575572
Was money I got from tf2 items I traded to other people willing spend cash, I made good profit.
>>
>>344572564
I've soent $5 to get premium. I have almost 4000 hours played.

The only money i spent was on initial orange box, and then a few dollars on MVM tickets when that was the hot thing. Otherwise, no cosmetic money spent.
>>
>>344575563
But its money made with like no real effort, ive made like 300$ by just selling shit i get playing games for fun and that basically has allowed me to buy any game i want for free, and i still have money to spare for when i find some good game id like to play
>>
I once unboxed a strange engi construction PDA from a salvaged crate. Anyone else ever unbox something really fucking weird?

There are games where need spent more money
>>
>>344572564
20 dollars when I bought it back in early 2010 along with gmod

Mannconomy was when I started gaining a few money from it. Like 15 dollars and a good chunk of games and it got easier in 2011, but they allowed you to trade games and people would only trade shit for games so I didnt go any further. I kept playing it and ocasionally getting enough metal for a key to resell on the market since my luck with crates is crap
>>
>>344575984
I don't hate them, I just don't really respect them.
>>
>$500 is a lot of money

Get a $90 000 job, kids
>>
>>344576321
>no real effort
neither is a minimum wage job, you're really not being honest with yourself now
>>
>>344576321
You had to haggle for a bit to get a net gain from those virtual cosmetic items right? Or at least search around for good trade deals. To earn hundreds of dollars I'm sure you had to do this over and over and that would cost a bit of time.
>>
>>344576321
how did you do that?
I only started to do this shit a year ago, now I'm sad that we didn't get a way to get money out of this update, invested 5 bucks into my steam account and bought a ticket for the reskins, sold them, played lotsa MvM and got somewhat lucky, next skin update came out and did a bit money too
also filled a market space with some killstreak weapons
I tried MvM but profit is a so-so situation right now
got atleast 70 bucks with a 5 dollar investment over a year
>>
>>344575902
Apparently the old devs have bought it back from Sega recently, someone on here was excited about it but I dunno if anything has come out of it yet.
>>
>>344577082
Yeah I'm sure you'd pay $500 for a mars bar.
>>
>>344577278
I never made any money from TF2 i used to play some games with friends where you would accumulate in game currency and just sell that to people if the game allowed such trading
>>
Still miss quickplay man.
>>
>>344577879
sounds neat, what games allowed that?
>>
>>344577127
Most minimum wage jobs in my country include full work days and backbreaking work, and since all the easy jobs are full due to the high unemployment in the country thats the only kind of work a student like me could get so i rather make money online rather than be a wagecuck
>>
>>344578140
I can tell you're ignorant, most backbreaking work pays way above the minimum wage
>>
>>344572965
Are you me? Same here.
>>
>>344572564
$50 max.
>>
Jesus christ this casual """""""""""""""""""""matchmaking"""""""""""""""""""""""" is dumb as all fuck

Why even call it matchmaking
>>
>>344572564
well, I'd say 60, but I also got Half Life 2, ep. 1 & 2, and portal with that money.
>>
Whatever I paid for it before it went free to play then like 5 keys maybe. So like $30 I guess?
>>
like 100-200 probably

like half of that was robo keys. whhy the fuck did i buy so many of those
>>
>>344572564

15$

A friend had a account with the orange box and didn't want it anymore so i bought from him
>>
I bought a hat for $20 once.
>>
>>344574319
>>344574301

>>
>>344573535

How would you know what backbreaking work pays in his country?
>>
>>344572965
>>344578330
This but in USD. I just wanted to see why everybody was fellating Portal.
>>
>>344572564

$0, I stopped playing when they introduced that full retard item system.
>>
>spending money on cosmetics
I know a few retards like this who also complain that they don't have money to buy new games, or booze
>>
>>344581521
