Does Soldier have the worst Ult?
It just gives you auto-aim for like 10 seconds. If you're bad at aiming it'll make you suck a little less for a brief time. If you're decent at aiming it really doesn't do anything, and if you're good at headshotting it actually nerfs you.
I can't think of a worse Ult. Maybe Roadhog's? But I've seen that work wonders in the right situation.

No, it eliminates all bullet spread and guarantees that if a target is in your line-of-sight then every bullet will hit (head shots if their head is in your LOS). It's easily one of the scariest ults in the game, just use it when you arent going to be focused (flanking, behind a rein shield, literally standing behind a zarya, when you're a good distance away from them but still in LOS of multiple targets, etc. Always kill reinhart shield and make sure zarya shields are on cd before using it (or d.va's E) and win the game. As a side note, the worst ults are D.va's, junkrat's, and hanzo's

Crowds? Using Soldier's ult on a crowd is guaranteed to get him killed. Only when the enemy team is a little spaced apart can it do any work.
Pharah's ult is pretty bad.
D.Va's is outright useless.
Reaper's is literally RNG and kills Reaper if someone sees him (I was killed by a FUCKING LUCIO the last time I tried it).
Tracer's is way too hard to pull off for how weak it is.

It's not bad. Sometimes it bites me in the ass like when I round the corner and there's a turret, because for some reason turrets are immune to certain it's like this and hanzo. The main benefit I think is that you can strafe about. If I don't have to focus on lining up my shots I an focus on trying to stay alive, but keep my dps up.

Much like the rest of 76's kit, it's very solid. Not amazing, but not terrible either. It's at a perfect spot. You might not be getting POTG, but your team will appreciate it if you use it correctly.

Tier list are kind of stupid for this game. I think the only heroes that are almost a must on your team are Zarya and Mercy.
Every other hero excels at different situations and with different team synergies.
Thats one of the reasons I love the game so much because it feel like there will never be a full team meta.

You don't really need anyone to cover you. The problems people make with it:
1. They don't pay attention to their surroundings. Obviously if there's a widow on their team ready to shoot you in the head, you're not supposed to use it. It's like those Reapers who try to wraith from a mile away to the middle of the enemy team, and end up surviving for 0.2 seconds because everyone's spread out and aiming at his head.
2. They try to use it from too far away. Rocket Barrage can kill you in a split second if you're close enough to your targets. It deals 1200 dps after all. If you use it from a mile away, you give your opponents ample time to kill you before you manage to actually kill anything.
3. They're too greedy with it. Give up on trying to kill the whole enemy team. You're not going to do it. As long as you don't get killed yourself, killing a single Mercy is fine. 2 people are relatively easy to take down, as long as you focus on the higher priority target first. 3 people require good conditions, 4 or more you should generally give up on (unless you have the perfect conditions for it, obviously).

It's amazing with good team synergy. You can easily wipe a team without unless they ult to block it.
Sure, it's not as easy to wipe people with it if you solo qued and have no team synergy as it is with Reaper or Pharra's ults, but those ults can be stopped all the same by a good team too.
With Solider 76's ult, you can be at a safe range while using it (save for a Widowmaker or Hanzo) and can use it behind a Reinhardt shield. Even if you get no kills, you force the other team to get the fuck out of your sightlines which means they either back off away from an objective, or they likely bunch up behind the same piece of cover which opens them up to other stuff.
