Is this the biggest false advertisement in the history of gaming?

Ground Zeroes has

>one big amazing level that takes perfect advantage of its structure, people can complete the objectives in any order they want and it has a side objective (rescue the other prisoners+ the escaped one)

>it utilizes its mechanics in a gimmicky but excellent way, finding the location of Paz through listening to audio cues on the tape chico has etc

>grim, dark atmosphere, excellent cinematography in the cutscenes and great writing- gives the premise that hackima is on the right track

>the game genuinely has better graphics than TPP does, they lowered the texture quality significantly in TPP (just look at the red band trailer with sins of the father, it has the GZ tier textures, lighting effects and vehicle models etc)

>you scavenge weapons and supplies in the map, rewarding exploration and interrogations with significant rewards beyond H-HERE IS OUR SPECIALIST: in NG+ runs you can pick your reward guns from the mission start point, no bullshit deployment system

>leaves out obvious things like the cardboard box, contributes to the premise that this is just a taste of le real thing

>the fucking side ops using the exact same map are better than 99% of the main missions in TPP, both gameplay and story wise- they simply feel different and have soul

Also id like to add that selling GZ for 40e was a fucking insane false advertisement on its own front because that prize implies a bit more content, should have been a digital only 5e purchase

I'm still mad.
>endless empty wasteland full of who-gives-a-fuck generic flat outposts
>three notable locations per map tops, and even then the mission design is fucking boring
TPP was a mistake.
>>

>>the game genuinely has better graphics than TPP does

this is pretty fucking true

GZ runs like shit to me while PP runs flawlessly even with mods that unlock settings, fuck you kojima

I agree completely, OP. I stopped playing TPP as soon as I got to Africa. It just wasn't a MGS solid game to me. Too boring and literally empty everywhere you went. Which is shame, because the opening mission had me really hyped.

Also, the whole opening and credits for every mission was god awful.

I love how this "Ground Zeroes is good" meme still exists

So refute anything said in the OP instead of being a mememaster retard

>side ops better than 99%...

I can understand the
>destroy convoy #284729 type missions.
But you're a fucking idiot.

GZ was still unnecessary in the grand scheme of things and didn't feel like a true metal gear game

Where are the boss battles?
Where's the slapstick comic relief?
Where's the TECHNOLOGY moments that the series is known for?

>20$ for a fucking demo

Tell me how missions like a hero's way, C2W or such are better than

>scripter chopper action mission, ends with rescuing kojima and fighting a tank
>clear daylight mission where you have to get extremely close into populated enemy spots to sabotage the enemy AA guns
>afternoon mission with a false objective (the mission with the tapes)
>extracting 2 targets that move around on the map without fulton shit
>2 gimmicky secret missions that you unlock by gathering easter eggs in the open world, other one is action with a more OP character and the other is focused on finding certain objects/ items in the world with low poly models

>>344543336
>GZ was still unnecessary in the grand scheme of things and didn't feel like a true metal gear game

doesnt make it a bad game considering metal gear as a franchise has always been extremely mediocre gimmicky shit, the boss battles being the only thing that it actually does right
>>
MGSV is just another MGS2.

The two part structure, the tonal shift, the 2meta4u ending, hell they both suffer from cut content.

Complaining about Kojima betraying his fans is pretty dumb since he already pulled this shit more than a decade earlier.

I agree with all of this

I genuinely got 20 hours into GZ. Even though the main op can be completed in an hour, the side ops and replay ability makes it amazing.

If they made TPP more linear with the amount of polish they gave GZ it could of actually been one of the greatest games of all time

The 2 part structure in MGSV had nothing similar to MGS2.

The character reveal was literally the end of the game. The actual Multi-chapter shit was a copy of Peace Walker.
