Is Stalker a better Fallout game than Fallout?

No. The neo-fallout idea is nifty but I think the tonal differences between the two series are worlds apart

I'm playing almost vanilla SoC now, it's captivating as shit.
I went to play it stopping Doom halfway through because it was so polished and accommodating. And uninspiring.
Fallouts/skyrim I can't even get myself to play after one playthrough, I just install mods for a while and then move on to something else.

They're quite different, but STALKER is definitely better than any of the 3D Fallout games.

The gameplay is definitely better in Stalker. Enemies are significantly better in Stalker. So is weapon and armour customisation.
The world in both is pretty shit, but Stalkers world has a much better atmosphere.
The plot in both is also pretty shit.
I'd say overall Stalker has better games and the only downside these games have is they had 1/10th the budget of a 3D Fallout game (but still did a lot better with that tiny budget).

desu maybe I do have this, I'm not sure. The textures are definitely upgraded with parallax map. But the mechanics is vanilla, so I just added sleeping and weapon repairs, correct sun lighting and "panoramic".

Nah, it's mostly same or worse. Same buggy shit, animations sucks, shooting part fucking terrible, terrible voice acting, almost no RPG elements, but it trying to be like one and writing sucks. Comparing with F3, FNV and F4 of course, 1 and 2 completely different games. Maybe fallout has much more interesting universe. If only they have better game engine and more money. That shit would be masterpiece. Oh well, can't have everything.

I don't think so. I love both games, I played both for tons of hours, I could only think that Fallout 1 is the is the game I'll make my children play first. It's definitely over Stalker.
Also Stalker is more emotional with people, contracts, npcs around, Fallout more seriously leaves you alone in nowhere.
