Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold

After enduring the hardship of going through the dungeons and the FOES I finally reach the boss where the last members of an old guild called Beowulf were supposed to be and find this.

I really love the writing in EO games, its simply but it tries to convey feeling and atmosphere

Joyful didn't make me cry. No, it was worse.
It skipped right past emotions and fucking broke me.
I just sat in silence staring at the title screen for a good half hour after I finished my first playthrough.
This is a thread of games that made you cry, not games that destroyed all emotion you once had.

The nobody is a failure
>>
>>344517247

Off the top of my Head, Gears 3. I was first in line to get mine and went to class. Played it through until I hit the Dom Scene. I kinda joked on him being a fucking mess and losing everything from his kids, to his wife to his radishes; But I kinda was thinking the Death would be at the end of the game or something and Couldn't help but tear up since I always played Dom in Gears with my Younger brother.

There are a few others that mostly because of the music. But Dom screaming as he rushes to his final moment man, that made me feel cold for a while.

Nailed the exact moment this game broke me. Painful got me emotional with Brad being a failure. Joyful's repitition of the line absolutely destroyed my emotions.

It didn't make me cry, but killing The Boss and knowing she'd go down as one of the most vilified traitors in history just to ensure that the greater good won out in the long run actually stuck with me for a while.
>>
>>344519270
I cried during the final speech in MGS 2. I was kinda sad at the end of 3, but didn't feel like crying honestly. Speeches about the future and what can humans can accomplish really strike hard with me
