It is p2p, and debris and bodies do stop low caliber rounds, like pistols and SMG, and weirdly enough, Glaz's sniper for a while
Dropped shields also count as physics objects, so it can stop you shooting someone for who it fell flat.

All that possible destructibility could have shaken up the game dynamics, each match could have been totally different each time. Instead it's the same old shit every match.

not true. you can still breach floors/ceiling and kill enemies from below or above, just not all of them.

Not really true. In the E3 reveal the player sets a breaching charge on the trapdoor in the living room, it's just not visible in the video. In the final version of the map, the trapdoor is literally the same spot the player in the E3 reveal places a breaching charge.
