Julius was the only one to put down Drac permanently, even if an army or whatever helped mop up the rest of the castle.
Julius mode is frankly ridiculous, with the uppercut, teleport dash, zippy movement speed, grand cross, and general high damage on all attacks and subweapons.
Castlevania 1999 is up there with Metroid Dread as games I've resigned myself to accepting I'll never see.

I'm not sure what your point is. He killed Dracula for real. So what? It's significant in terms of back story, but in terms of personality (or lack thereof) and abilities he's a bog-standard Belmont and we already know what happens in 1999.
I just don't see any reason why a 1999 game would be particularly special; story has always been tertiary for the series anyway.
