Blockstorm

It feels like a mix of old battlefield with early Ace of Spades
You can customize your character and weapons visually as you like

You can get all sorts of tacky shit like a tense sniper wars innawoods with your team consisting of a power ranger, a GIGN officer and a clone trooper while an enemy Donald Trump starts protecting his spawn by building a wall.

I really really like this game for the fun barebones and treacherous gameplay, but it will die soon because no one likes it.

They fixed some bugs but not the problems with the game. The lead loses any personality he had after his first sequence and thereafter just does whatever that templar idiot wants him to do. The missions are all crap. The change into an equipment-based leveling system was crap meant to lengthen the playtime and force people to play those shitty multiplayer missions. The fact that if you're seen once EVERYONE instantly recognizes you on sight and can't be cooled down until you die just slows down the game especially since restarting and dying takes about 2 minutes to load everything back up. The ending is especially shit. That woman would have easily lived had she simply taken ONE second to lift that rubble off of the protag.

Shit.

Blur. A racing game that features the look of a modern racing game mixed with gameplay of Mario Kart. I love this game to death and the studio that developed it, Bizarre Studios, was shut down. Everyday I realize a sequel will never be made, and each of those days I wonder if lifes sole purpose was either to allow human beings to fulfill their dreams til death or to mock humans and their vast amount of dreams and hopes. A sequel will never be made, so I can honestly and truly so that I won't pass on a happy man. As sad as it may seem to have such a burden when I die, it's something I can't explain or reason. Just a never-ending feeling of gloom and hopelessness that lurks around me as I pass my Xbox 360 or any kind of racing game. It's the same feeling you get when that girl of your dreams leaves and now every girl you see somehow remembers her as the one that got away and will never come back. The tears on my keyboard are a sign that I should stop typing.

>The missions are all crap

Completely not true, especially considering the previous asscreed mission's which feature a plethora of mission constraints. Unity had plenty of that too but it also gave us free form assassination missions, setting us loose in a large area and giving us a target. It gave us an actual stealth system and skills/equipment to enhance that stealth. It has arguably the STRONGEST missions in an assasins creed game, just by giving the player more freedom and stronger systems than ever before.

Players often say the variety being introduced in 2 made the series better but the variety came in the form of extremely controlled and scripted sequences. They laud 2 or Brotherhood as being good examples in the series but those games gave us turret sequences. Manning a machine gun does not make for a good Assassin game, managing a town does not make for a good assassin game, climbing up tower that only really has one way up does not make for a good Assassin game. Good ASSASSINATION missions give us a good assassin game, which Unity had several.

>Didn't have much of a clue what was going on though. Anyone who knows the series that can explain?
Brandon and Harry are two punk ass teenagers who get involved with a crime syndicate named Millennium soon after a gang war kills most of their friends. The head of Millennium, a man named Big Daddy, gives Brandon the job of cleaner and Harry a job as a business manager and Brandon keeps the job because BD is Maria (his GF's) guardian/uncle/whatever.

Harry climbs up the ranks at Millennium over the years so that he can be rich and powerful and he plans to betray Big Daddy, but Brandon is loyal to BD, so Harry shoots his former best friend and takes control. Brandon's GF and Big Daddy got married and had a kid named Mika, who escapes Harry's coup and meets with a scientist named Dr.T in a downtown area, on her mother's dying wishes

All the while, there's this background plot about some street drug called SEED made from an alien substance that has some horrific side-effects and Brandon is revived by a former scientist named Dr.T who made bioweapons for Millennium using SEED and who is trying to make up for the horrible things he's created. When Mika arrives, she brings a pair of handguns for Brandon, now named BEYOND THE GRAVE, who sets himself on a journey to put a smoking hole in anything that moves and to take down the syndicate

I'll give credit where it's due. They gave more free roam assassinations against the main targets. The opportunities presented are the best in the series.

But Unity also had extremely scripted missions. Remember chasing after the bitch while she sat on a balloon? Those 'more modern' missions in the game ALSO have you manning turrets against plans and those segments only feature one way to progress as well. Unity also has managing a home base as well! The game is full of everything you condemn.

I don't like AC2 because I think it introduced a bunch of shit to the series I felt didn't belong and I disliked Ezio. I agree with your criticisms. But I don't believe Unity was, in any way, a good game. I'd rather play AC3 again than Unity.

The revamped combat system means that enemies can strike you first before the system allows you to defend yourself, meaning sometimes you'll take a hit no matter what. This especially bothered me because if enemies are a higher level than you, you can be one-shot by them. It also bothered me that enemies didn't get more dangerous or have new combat behavior. They just got better stats. Because the main line missions give pitiful cash, you must grind for better equipment.

Stealth is more open, but if you're caught once you may as well just hit restart because you can't take everyone at once in the game and they all rush you at the same time.

The other AC's are like a rollercoaster. Yes, there's only one way the rollercoaster can go, but it's a helluva ride along the way. Unity was a shitpit in comparison.

Not even a little bit.

Musou as a series is typically a hack and slash. Your body count goes up to the hundreds and it's generally just a stress relief.
SWC was on the 3DS, so the hardware is total shit. This means that it can't render very many dudes at once for the player to cut down. So, they shifted the focus to completing missions around the map. These time limits are very strict and making a battle go 100% your way is a serious challenge.
You deploy four characters and you can switch between them on the fly, with the three you're not currently controlling being controlled by the AI. You can tell each AI to go to a certain place or attack a certain officer. Once you get into difficult battles it turns into a chaotic mess of having to be in four places at once and just barely pulling it off and I love it.

And unlike other Musou it makes a real effort to get you attached to the cast. After a battle you can choose to have a conversation with one of the characters that fought in it to learn more about them. There's ~40 characters with ~10 conversations each. It's a great touch if you like to get attached to characters like I do.

It's the most interesting text-heavy game I've ever played. I love the lore, the mysteries, the horrors.

I wish it had a big following, especially because I think anyone who likes Dark Souls/Bloodborne type lore will love what Sunless Sea has to offer. However, you do have to grind a bit and avoid death (roguelike) to avoid huge setbacks.

There's so much to know about this game.

ChoroQ is basically "Chibi Hot-Wheels" in Japan. The games started around the N64 era, and would be arcade racers, RPGs, or a mixture of both.

Road Trip Adventure, or Everywhere Road Trip in Europe, is the second installment of ChoroQ's High Grade series, or HG for short.

If you like the game, check out ChoroQ for the PS2. It's the fourth High Grade installment.

I remember playing it but the character roster was super unbalanced because it was a tactics game where rather than roll dice to determine winners during combat it turned into a fighting game. Because of that some units sucked ass and others could take on several before they died.
It handled fairly well and having four campaigns with decently long missions gave me a lot of time into it, but I was probably 9 or 10 at the time so it may be nostalgia.
it's supposed to emulate well so I might pick it up again.
