IV is too easy and has some pacing issues, but otherwise it's GOAT.
SJ is probably the overall best. It's high points are not the highest, but it's lows are not that low ether, it's just reliably good.

IV had great writing but there were barely any dungeons and the dungeons it did have were short and easy with almost zero puzzles. RNG combat out the ass too, have fun not hitting the boss when he spams physical attacks and gets smirks.

SMT3 Nocturne is an all-time classic RPG for many reasons.
Perfect post apocalypse atmosphere, rocking soundtrack with killer riffs, and challenging gameplay from start to finish. A lot of RPGs lose the middle ground balance as they progress, Nocturne never lets up. And it never feels unfair or that you never stood a chance, it lives up everything an RPG should be like.

That was only problem in few fights early on, before the game trivialized itself and saving anywhere kinda balanced that. At least it didn't have untested hard mode that made you go though 20 minute intro if you got bad rolls on the tutorial fight.
