Honestly, I'd love to see an animated movie. They've shown there's story and potential for more. If it were anything but animated they'd just fuck it up. Just make the movie like the shorts, but a movie instead.

If they made a movie about the downfall of overwatch with animation quality like the shorts it could work. There may be just enough known lore to fit into an hour thirty minute movie about the omnic crisis, the rise of overwatch, and the fall of overwatch. Throw in characters that joined talon, genji and hanzo's duel, reyes becoming repoman, and pharah and her mum.
