It was just so terrible. The combat was awful and the dialogue was half-assed engrish translations.
It feels like Itoi was just applying his ideas from pen to paper for this game and that earthbound was the more fleshed out version of what he was trying to achieve. I played through it just so I could say that I had played every game in the mother series.
I played worse games technically but the first one piece game for the wii, One Piece Unlimited Adventure sucked my soul out. I tried to enjoy it so much for so long because I loved the series a lot at that time but that game's outright offensively lazy design of "grind for x amount of x 3 times to progress to the next area rinse repeat" put me off to any game that did that for years.

Rascal for the Playstation. Controls suck, levels are a nightmare to progress though, hard as fuck because of the aforementioned controls, and the artstyle is terrible as well. On top of that (although it was probably just my disc), there's a gamebreaking bug where all the textures get fucked up, the sound freaks out and enemy hitboxes get changed.

If a game is bad I always just stop playing it and forget about it later. I know I've played some bad games in my time but I can't remember what they are. Recently I bought Bully on the PS4 store and have buyer's remorse from that. The game is not bad but the PS4's emulation of it is terrible. The framerate shits itself constantly and often you start veering left or right for no reason while running. That is probably the worst I've played recently and I can't even get a refund for it. My answer would have to be fallout nv,on console. My only Bethesda game experience, I put about 30 hours into it and just wanted to kill myself. Then I got that Xbox 360 glitch that causes radio static to play unendingly so my save file was pretty much corrupted. I wasn't even mad, at that point I felt relieved to be freed of that game.
This is followed very close by Mirrors Edge. Never understood the hype, put a lot of hours in but I just plain hated it.

At least undertale functions as an actual game. The graphics may be shit but you can understand what you're looking at, the controls actually work, you can actually finish the game. It has an OK amount of content for a game of that size. It doesn't destroy the dvice it runs on.
