I'm not so sure, after all if the 480 can do 390 performance for $200 then I'm sure AMD can come up with an APU that can do 380 performance for pretty cheap as well. AMD's releasing new APU's this year so it would make sense for PS4k to be using Polaris tech as well. Probably explains why Scorpio isn't until late next year as well, it's almost certainly using Vega tech and will probably be significantly more expensive.

Except Microsoft already tried this with the Xbox, they didn't want companies shipping broken games so they only allowed one free patch, anything after that you'd pay. Devs bitched and bitched until Microsoft dropped it with the 360, now console games are as broken day 1 as PC games usually are. SOny can say they're raising standards but that means fuck all, their performance targets for PS3 and PS4 were both ignored by the majority of devs and this will be too.
