Lots of games that came out around 9/11 (mostly PC games and military games) were capitalizing on 9/11 and how angry americans generally were over it.
For instance, Counter Strike Condition Zero Deleted Scenes came out in the early 2000's, and features some levels where you were literally shooting down angry arabs with big towel hats and swords.
You could also argue it's the reason COD MW did so fucking well. It literally had a mission where you were in Afghanistan hunting down a guy named "assad" while rock music plays (o and the black guy brodcasts rap music at the end)

The towers collapsed from top to bottom, meaning the upper part crushed everything below it at any given time. Being there would be the ceiling simply coming down and squishing/ crushing you.
