Tough question. When I was young and Duke 3d came out it was awesome. You could blow things up like furniture, windows, walls,whores[/spolier] and holy shit that atmosphere. It was really great.. in '96.
But now I think Doom was a better game. I can't explain why, but even now sometimes I just boot it up and play through it for fun. I tried to play with Duke too, but I didn't enjoy it as much as Doom; maybe because it was my first game I played, I dunno..
