I can't for my life beat the bullet hell part of the Burst in practice mode.
I clear all the former phases with 10 hits total and 0 KO, then get to the skipping rope segment and die like a bitch 3 times in a row.
I don't even know how I did it when I went through the game, I think I lucked out somehow.

I recommend replaying it. It's almost as if there new bosses in furier mode.
I really don't like that you have to replay the whole boss fight if you die. If you only have some problem with the last phase then you should not have to replay the entire thing.

The Edge is probably my favorite fight, it was more of a flashy fight, but it was still fun and somewhat difficult.
The Hand is probably my favorite character, I always love the Heroic Knight/Paladin characters, his last stand was fucking awesome, but he was a pushover.
Least favorite boss is probably the Line, but I still appreciate it for being a casual filter.
Favorite soundtrack is the one playing during The song's battle(The angel girl).
Favorite boss: The Burst. Blending melee and bullet hell is this game's best strength.

I think one of the proofs that this is a very good game in its own right and scope is how nobody experiences it the same way.
I hate the burst and the burst and the edge for instance, got stuck on the melee section of the burst for too long, with the edge i was both reliving my ptsd and forming a new one.
I actually prefer the line or the hand more.
However i love that everyone agrees the scale sucks.

My body goes on full instinct mode and rushes to the nearest cover, neglecting everything else.

Mom started out terribly, but I enjoyed her later sections, even if her character was the most annoying for me.

Daughter was annoying, but a fun fight.

Don't get me wrong, he should have been locked up. Especially if he was the murderous guy they suggest he is in that one ending. But they went to a place where I can't really feel sorry for them, and their holier than thou attitude is obnoxious.
It really doesn't make much sense for the rider to turn against the ship at the end, he was pretty much built to do this.
As a player point of view it makes sense to refuse destroying the planet, but has an alien it's kind of dumb.

I'm enjoying this game so far but I really don't like the hold X to dodge further mechanic. It just makes the responsiveness slower for when you need to dodge quickly. I can't count the amount of times I've been hit trying to dodge something just because I didn't let go of X fast enough. Maybe it's just me, but I haven't trained myself to dodge in such a way in any game ever, so maybe I press X too hard?
