Having played through all the starting quests for each class, the class stuff seems really good so far. Honestly, everyone bitching about lack of class quests or class identity need to give it a try. Even the boring ones like Hunter still feel super fucking right for the class.
Past that, not sure what to look forward to. Definitely want to get to max level with each class, or at least most of them. Haven't leveled enough to know how the max level content is but I've heard good things, so maybe it will be worth sticking around. Professions seem interesting too, though I don't know how long term they will be. I like that each profession seems to have neat utility items they can make, like blacksmiths making something like a riding crop buff.
I just hope the tuning isn't garbage for the classes I want to play. Also, hope for some slight adjustments for classes, like ret paladins getting a shorter CD on judgement. Mastery for the spec feels really shitty with judgmenent on a long CD.

I did recruit a friend with a buddy of mine the last few weeks. Got a warrior to 100 and now I don't know what to do. I did some pvp but I'm just not feeling it. The server feels really empty too. Am I missing content or is WoW just not for me? I can't do any dungeons either cause my item level isn't high enough.

WoD had shittons of rares, treasures and what have you in the zones. Not to mention it had plenty of World PvP that naysayers will of course deny. Hell, they had incentives for world PvP as well.

no, no legendary quest this time because everyone already has artifact weapons which are basically the same thing. however, legendary items do drop from basically all sources but are very rare, and they all offer unique power-ups to your class'/spec's abilities. they're not totally balanced though as some are kinda meh while others can actually change the way you play entirely

well you can still level with friends in legion because of the way the mob scaling works. essentially none of the mobs in any of the zones other than suramar scale to your relative power, and the questing is nonlinear so you can start from any of the four leveling zones and do them in any order you like.

I have seen the sub changes and it does looks great, but the playstyle of popping out of stealth, laying down a full rotation of dots while they are stunned/silenced, then vanishing out and watching them melt just feels so rewarding.

Real talk, ever since cata I have only been subbed for a month or two whenever a patch/expansion hits or whenever I just got an itch to play wow again, and Iv been fine with that. Why do people act like you have to keep staying subbed all year long for this game? Whenever one of these big content drought happens you can just stop playing this shit and go play something else. You DO play other games, right?Though Had I known that blizz would have implemented gold for sub, and that you could get a fuck ton of gold from garrissons by doing nothing, I probably would have stayed subbed all year long in WoD just to get free game time for the rest of my WoW time. I am on a break at the moment because my raiding guild wanted to take a break and most people was so fucking burned out on the game.
People that stay subbed for years are probably raiders like me that finds enjoyment in raiding and some find climbing the arena ladder to be fun.
Not to hate or anything, but the nostalgia people seem to only play WoW for the "levling experience " and to "socialize" in 5-man group and that isn't really the focus any longer.
And the start of every expansion are also pretty fun because everything is kinda "new" and 5-mans doesn't get cleared under 10 min. Also when everyone starts in one zone you have plenty of people that are social.
