People not being able to perform this motion is a literal meme. My sister who has literally never touched a video game before was able to do this on her second try.

I remember drilling my younger nephew (he's like 12) on how to do Hadokens (with pad) in USF4 last time he came over. He seemed to pick up on it ok but couldn't get the extra one needed for the anti-air. Practice makes perfect, I guess.

I also taught my other nephew (he's 16)how to do it. He's a Ken scrub now that's not that much weaker than me since I'm not far from scrub myself. If he bothered to learn and drill Special Moves, he'd be a serious threat, but he'd rather play CoD anyway

We played Melty with a friend of mine last weekend.

The Steam version has inputs on the sides of the screens so I thought this time it would be easy to pick up a new fighting game for them.

Oh how wrong I was. Apparently doing 236 is impossible and he could do it maybe once every 10 tries. It's baffling how people can have troubles with it.

what the fuck? is that second one fake?
>>
>>344367646
You just have to do the half-circle back+forward+Lkick and it'll start, it just won't continue unless you input the rest of the buttons in the proper order
>>

how do i do double circle grapple supers without accidentally jumping?

LP xx LK tatsu > LP shoryu > stun > j.HK, cl.HP xx MK axe kick > cr.LP xx cr.HP xx MK axe kick, s.LP xx s.MP xx EX fireball > U2

if you can't perform this staple combo then your opinion doesn't matter

This kind of thing was designed to be done on arcade sticks, not gamepads. You're not meant to be able to do this on a home console.

>>

why would it be? I've only played P4AU where there is similar input. Basically you hit the opponent on the first move (632146 + LK) and you can continue the combo with all the next button presses. It more about right rhythm than just pressing them.
>>
>>344367824
do the input while committed t a short range attack in a game that lacks jump cancels

i have trigger finger so smooth rotational analog stick movements are hard for me
especially when im on the right side of the screen
>>
>>344367839
I only know how to play with d-pad and I can pull off Sureyoucans just fine.
>>
>>344367839
Why wouldn't you have a stick if you like fighting games?

Or just become so godlike that a pad doesn't hold you back.
>>
>>344365661
And somehow smash fags think it's difficult and should be removed from the game
>>
>>344367824
after you do a 270 motion, do another 270 motion before the jump startup frames end
>>

>>
>>344368364
It's because of Smash that I'm able to do non-accidental Shoryukens
>>
>>344368273
Then again, I find it much harder to do inputs with the analog stick, so I never use it.

I bet that can make a big difference in learning for most people.
>>
>>344365801
those arent too bad with guile at least, you dont have to do the exact motion just kind of make a circle motion in a way

Honestly I did everything perfect as far as I could see, never could do a single special attack in any fighting game though. Pic unrelated.

i could do this shit on my first day playing street fighter, it's easy as fuck melee is the best fighting game

It's easy on my PS4 controller. GC controller, though? Fuck it. I prefer using the d-pad.

>09'er
fuck you, getting confused for stupid named inputs is not something new I have been struggling with that since old nintendo power magazines, and there is literally no reason to name the inputs that way, specially when most of the fighting games are played with the same scheme and can be shortcalled in 2 letters, there is a reason why they arent named that way anymore (most of the time) because is innecesary.
>>
I've been playing fighting games for a few years now and I still can't do the two full circle motion.
>>
>>344370209

I was playing KOF, MKT, Tekken 3, XvsSF, MVC1, SFA3, and EX+A on my PS1 back then. Fighting games were my thing nigga.
>>
>>344370209
SFII came out like a million years ago. I'm sure there's some oldfags who played it when they were kids.
>>
>>344369230

That's literally what they're referred to for all SF games ever, except when they're released in america.

>>344368878

The visual one.
>>
being a SF kiddie really fucked my shit up when trying anything made by SNK.
>>
>>344370453

You typically don't have to do two 'real' circles, and even when you do, you can do 270, jump, and input the rest of it as you're coming back.

Games like skullgirls have a 360 detection system that locks you in place. My question then is, why even have 360 in the first place?

>>344370874
yes, and it was confusing and unnecesary, specially with other capcom fighting games around the same time like Marvel vs capcom, and Darkstalkers.
>>
>>344370320

You call them LK, LP, MK, MP, HK, HP in america.

Everywhere else, they're called short, jab, forward, strong, roundhouse, fierce.

In 2016, you don't have a right to get confused, because every guide ever will explain what's what, and typically settles on the CvS light, medium, heavy approach, anyway, with the relevant foot or fist icon.

What's the trick for doing this on a pad? I can do it just fine on a stick but mine broke and I'm now down to just a Fighting Commander, any tips for getting these with some consistency?
>>
>>344373313

You press forward, then you move your finger to down, then you hold it down-forward and press the button.

It's really easy.
>>
>>344365397
Who can't do a shoryuken? The only ones that can't are sheltered smashfags
>>
>>344373313
Practice. Just do it over and over again in training mode on both sides till you can do it consistently without fucking up.
>>
>>344373313
if you're playing sf5, just double tap down forward
