Can someone please explain this boards embarrassing hatred of Undertale?
It seems like every time the game is brought up, the immediate response is accusations of autism and edgelords claiming they feel no emotion.

Even ignoring the lesbians and trans robot, Undertale is a SJW game. And not because of pacifism. Undertale goes beyond being a game about pacifism. goes beyond saying "killing everyone is bad." There would be nothing wrong with the game's narrative if the message was just "killing everyone is bad." In that case it would just be overly simplistic in its morals, but well-intentioned.
Undertale' morals are insidious. The game paints a specific kind of self-defense as objectively bad in an intentionally disingenuous and manipulative way: the monsters want to kill you, but you can't fight back, because the monsters are afraid of you due to past actions of the humans and you need to take the initiative to show them you're not bad. The monsters are not at fault for wanting to murder you and actively trying to do so, because you, as a human who had "oppressed" the monsters, have what is clearly a sort of "privilege" over them through the power you wield, and the only way to beat the game is to "dismantle your privilege" in a symbolic sense by getting to know the monsters for the nice people they really are and ignoring their aggression against you. And if you dare fight back against the monsters whose aggression is justified because of the sins of your forefathers, you're a bad person for it. Dare I say, racist.
It's really transparent privilege narrative.Undertale' morals are manipulative and insidious. The message is not "don't kill everyone," the message is "it's your responsibility to resolve the aggressions of people who hate you because of what your ancestors do" and "self defense against aggressors is wrong if they can justifiably cry racism" before ending with a pro-mass immigration message.

A lot of the fanbase is super autistic about it like it's the most unique, original and perfect game ever.
Because of it, a lot of people hated the fanbase and started repeating that it was SJW, Tumblr, filled with memes (and other boogeymans) until all the haters convinced themselves that it was true, when it was not.
Ignoring the obnoxious fanbase, the game itself isn't generally hated except for some people that probably haven't even played it (and they simply hate the fanbase), but I found it pretty good overall.

Its mostly the absolutely autistic fanbase and the fact that /v/ was flooded to the point of the game almost being completely pushed to /vg/.
Anything really popular also tends to be hated.
Thankfully its a single player experience and that is all completely irrelevant and you never have to interact with the community.

What do these all have in common? They are some of the most popular games out there right now. Most online shooter threads in general derail into people trying to arguing why they don't take as much skills as Quake.

Most don't hate undertale faggot, they just don't think it's the second coming of vidya christ like some faggots do, so it's funny to rag on it because it triggers sensitive bitches. It's an alright game, few decent concepts, good music, but it's also short, repeatative, and gets a little old pretty quick. 7/10 overall, now get your panties unbunched.

The gameplay is simple and does not challenge the player very heavily. It never reaches the true difficulty of the shooting hell masterpieces or evolves it's gameplay to incorporate new elements.
It's morals and lessons are easily palatable, digestible and understandable to normals.
It's a game that promotes you to communicate with others to understand all it's mechanics rather than explaining them, thus forcing conversation and interaction and getting people talking.
It's artstyle is inoffensive, choosing an easy to reproduce style that does not offend or does not end in uncanny feelings.
It's acknowledges you as a player having absolute power, which is in itself something novel and rush for people who have never been engaged with games like this before.
Here's a general rule when asking for opinions on /v/:

If the answer is yes, then /v/ will hate it, no question. People on this board want to feel like special snowflakes since their lifes are boring and mediocre, so they'll try their hardest to condemn a game if "normies" are enjoying it too.

All of your points sound like personal nitpicks and reasons why you specifically dislike the game, if I'm going to be honest. And that's 100% fine. I don't think any of those are definitive reasons that make it a "normalfag game" though.
Just because the gameplay isn't very challenging and the story doesn't make you think, doesn't mean it's immediately awful or for people who can't handle something harder or more subtle. Sometimes people want to play a simple game without any RPG storylines to follow with tons of backstory and lore and I don't see anything wrong with that.
