What are your thoughts on the new Meet Your Match TF2 update, /v/? I thought it had it's flaws, but it was an overall decent update.
Matchmaking doesn't count anything but losses for me and it's pissing me off.
Tried to play 2 games last night and both times someone left
It's good that there not banning weapons and shit like tournys, Made me trade most of my metal away to complete my collection
It's better than Overwatch's comp mode.

Balance wise, I liked it. Engineer got that great teleporter buff, alot of weps got nerfed (get rekt, bison soldiers) and overall, I think the game actually runs a little better.
Matchmaking, on the other hand? WHOOOOEY. Throw that stinker in the garbage. It needs a major revamp.

TF2 is literally unplayable now. The game coordinator rarely works if at all. This update is pretty much a disaster.

to be fair, the reason why the game coordinator isn't working is probably because the servers are overloaded with people playing. Maybe in a couple of days or so, it will calm down and start working again. Or hell, for all I know maybe the servers really do suck that bad.

Why wouldn't I abandon a game if my team sucks? It's not worth staying if you're just going to lose points. The system is unbalanced. Why the fuck can't you choose maps either?

I can see why you would get punished if you abandoned a competitive match, since there is a possibility the team could make a big comeback, but punishing people for abandoning in something like casual is just ridiculous
My friends and I tried to find a game yesterday and the official servers or whatever kept going down. We were waiting in the lobby for some time until we left and found out.
