The Barbarian I just made. Kicks pretty good ass, it has been a cakewalk so far.

Just couldn't enjoy the game when I wasn't minmaxing everything, and with minmaxing everything it became boring extremely fast because it was way too easy after 10 level ups.
First time playing, I heard builds are pretty flexible in this game compared to the later games. I want to try making a thief who uses magic to hide his presence, open locks and doors, etc. Any tips on building this character? Is atronach good for this build?
I'm at the character creation screen right now. I went dark elves cause they're pretty balanced and apparently they play a big part in the story from what I've been told.

My worst autism trigger is endurance stat, you basically have to get +5 every level until 100 or you lose out on max hp, so every time I replay Morrowind I have to stab some mudcrabs with a spear for hours.

Why would you do that in a single player game?
I kind of get it with Oblivion the scaling enemies put you in an arms race of a sort, but Morrowind should be all about exploration, lore, story and roleplaying.

If you want to use magic to open locks and doors, why would you want to play a thief? Your thievery skills will be redundant. Just play a mage then instead.

Atronach is powerful, but not really a best choice for beginners, as it makes regaining mana more complicated. Better use pick the mage instead.
