I bought PS4 chiefly for BB and was severely disappointed in it. Didn't like it nowhere near as the rest of the series. It's a good game still, mind, I just would not play it over any other souls game. Gravity rush: Remastered I'd say is the best game it has, but it's taken straight from Vita. And Infamous: SS was pretty disappointing after such great first two games.

Consoles were a wild west of architectures. Some had multiple processors and GPU's, everything had a different API, that's what made it so difficult to port games back in the day. It's why ports can have very different effects like lighting and filters, since everyone did everything different. Sometimes ports were completely different games.
Now all desktops and both major consoles are x86, and mobile is all ARM. WiiU is PowerPC for some reason, and this is also why nobody bothers optimizing multiplats for WiiU.
