New western games are dumbified interactive movies, not actual games.
I'll giv eyou an xample. Souls series are considered hard games because compared to western games, it actually requires the player to do everything. The truth is that they are not hard, they are just what games are supposed to be like. New age western games are less challanging so it puts Souls games on a pedestal.
And by the way, old Tomb Raiders are way harder than Souls games.
