im playing the game for first time ever, i think my game is glitched, maybe a coder made the wrong disc or something
i go through the tutorial, everything is easy, i even beated that crystal monster
then i get to something called iudex gundyr, pull this sword out of him, and instead of being grateful and opening the gate he starts fighting me. it took me about 5 attempts, dodging his attacks perfectly, but then he goes into this unbeatable mode where some black goo arm comes out of his back. it is literally impossible to beat! im on my 34th run and i run out of potions immediately.
i know they said dark souls is hard, but i didnt count on this

this is normal. its one of the games boss fights and its meant to happen when you pull out the ludex gundyr sword. the black goo is an amalgimation of souls that that characters collected before you got to them haha
its a really good game. better than demon souls but not as good as 1. you'll like it keep goiung :)

I don't hate it but after beating NG, spending a fair amount of time doing pvp (invasions, duels, dried fingers, etc) I had about 100 hours and put it away.
By far the most fun pvp for me was doing dried finger runs, only wish you could still get invaded after beating the boss, that would have made the game much more interesting tb honest
