Overwatch 100%. Might as well wait for SFV to actually be comparable to 4 and cost 40 or under. Overwatch is already 40 and the the dlc is mostly going to be free.

Fighters no matter how easy will be difficult to get into you can click with fighters normally or struggle and feel like you wasted money SFV is however a good entry point.
OW will be easier to enjoy and learn honestly and you can have fun with friends rather than against which is not as consistent (you can be better or much worse than friend). In short get overwatch. Fighters are plentiful recently but in my opinion they are lacking.
Overwatch is the better buy at the moment

I play occasionally and regularly go even with platinum level players. Don't feel like grinding ranked because it's a slog.
I have a job, I don't have the time to go to majors across the country. Locals in my area are smalltime.
I still like SF5, I just don't feel that it is a very good competitive fighter. I feel the same way about most modern fighters for various reasons.

i play both obsessively. theyre both very competitive and fun and the same price. i have equal amounts of fun with both.
it just depends on what genre you like better really. theyre both excellent online games.

Still pretty terrible. I think her colors are way too saturated too. That bright mustard yellow hair, bright cyan ribbons, and extremely bright red don't go well together. She just all around doesn't have a good model in this game. I'm pretty sure she was one of the outsourced character designs, seeing as how only Chun, Cammy, and Laura look good.
Overwatch is well polished, you get decent value for your money content wise... but it's the kind of game you play 4 games of and then you're slowly starting to force yourself to keep on playing.
If you want a competitive experience with the potential to hook you for days on end, but can stomach the fact that it's got pretty little content and, well, is a fighting game... SFV is the better pick. It sounds kinda negative but Overwatch just is the way more casual experience, matchmaking tries very hard to give you that 50% winrate no matter how much you suck and you can just jump in and shoot people and have a fun time. SFV got a brick wall for a learning curve, the tutorials are laughably bad, also it's got confusing menus and in general there really isn't that much to do, but learn combos and moves and jump online to battle it out with others. But when you got the patience to do that, and practice a bit and start figuring out other people, and get a feel for the deep interplay and how everything tactic has got an answer and every time you get hit you did something stupid and everytime you hit the other guy, you did something smart, doesn't take long and you feel smart as fuck.
I don't know all in all I personally just enjoy SFV more but I kinda got a thing for fighting games so I'm probably a bit biased. That's really the criteria, do you like fighting games more or do you like team based shooters more.
