if you press Triangle while doing it, you'll do a FUCK HUEG vertical slice, if you press R+Square while doing that attack, you'll retract your blade doing a lot of damage.
Farming Prithvi mata with this build. Just shooting her ends it in a little under 4 minutes. Trigger happy is crazy.

Charge your spear and keep up the combo. Make sure to hit the weak point (obviously). Do a backfip when the combo string ends, and dive back in for another round, or you can just start a combo and step when the combo ends to repeat it faster. Just keep up the combo as long as you can because you do tons of damage in its empowered state.

The scythe's whole gimmick is having extremely long range for a melee weapon. You can sweep through fuckers and they'd have to close the distance to do anything about it. It's probably hands-down the best weapon type for people who want to focus more on gunning, since it's the safest way to regain OP.

Regarding shields, would it be better to carry a shield with high defence but no resistances or a much weaker shield with resistances attached?
Like, say you had to go hunt a monster that deals Blaze. Would carrying a shield with a small defence number but with Blaze resistance be just as helpful as carrying a shield with bigger numbers but no resistance?

Currently I'm switching between spear and longblade. I wish buster was better but it seems fucking ASS no matter what I do. What does it's weird parry thing even do? You need to be running in order to use it as far as I can tell, why would you be just-guarding out of a fucking sprint?
Which gun type is best? I tried cannon, was neat but the homing was shitty, tried sniper which is neat but I REALLY miss the cannons stockpile function.

You press R+Square in the middle of a combo and it deploys your shield and follows up with a swing. You can extend your combo by using it as a substitute for one of your regular attacks while having a free guard. Then again you can also guard cancel with the buster blade.
Another thing with the Buster Blade is that they make tower shields deploy fast as fuck.

The big thing is the addition of Blood Arts which let you change up your moves like changing your attack patterns or properties. Predator styles were introduced in Resurrection to make up for the lack of Blood Arts and while handy, don't fully make up for its lack.

The only map where I've noticed performance really suffers is the chemical plant and mostly against Borg Calamans. The Vita seems to hold its framerate better than the PSTV to me as well.

The more enemies on screen the more dips in performance you'll see, it's not deal breaking (since there mostly momentary dips with exceptions) but I guess it's also because of all the special effects added to every move. Mainly noticed it on double missions in the city and snow temple zones.

Seriously though normal spears get recolors, and you can change them any time you want. Other spears get crazy, the one I posted doesn't even get the glowy fire part until you upgrade it. Customization is pretty good, there's a boat load of options to choose from though it doesn't touch Freedom Wars in that aspect, it has one of the better selections in the genre.

It's a prettier version of burst. I wouldn't have bought it at $40 but since it's $20 it's a nice way to revisit the game since there's new weapons that debuted in 2. If you played Burst you can deal with this one just fine, it's 30fps still so your basically getting a better looking version of the same game, unless you played on emu your not going to see a huge change between the two in performance.

those 3 inner demon fights fucking test of might since ren isnt doing shit. the 3rd fight was the worst, keeps killing (him) eventually i know hannibal is near death since hes goin batshit crazy, he knocks out(him) and i couldnt risk reviving him with my HP or end up being oneshotted, i go batshit crazy and finish it off with bullets a second before it's aboot to suckerpunch me.
fucking INTENSE, i did not fail any of those missions but they got super annoying.
biggest problem i have so far is littlest thing will flinch you and enemy hitboxes are so fucking random, one minute im goin crazy hitting them while being under them, they run off and i dont get hit, do the same thing...get hit somehow.
