The Dualshock stick placement was an afterthought slapped onto the existing Playstation controller with no actual changes to ergonomics. There's a reason literally nobody else does it. It is actually pretty good. The buttons click a lot like the dualshock controllers and it has a very robust build quality. I have been playing wreckfest and emulating g-police with it.

Like, every time I'm playing on my xbox one (or playing games with my xbone controller connected to PC) it always feels like the horizontal axis sensitivity is much higher than the vertical axis sensitivity. It completely fucks up my aiming. I get that you can change the sensitivity levels, but the fact that its like that by default is so confusing.

Just got my pc an xboner controller.
It's feels great to hold and the dpad isn't dogshit. Only bad thing about it is the analog stick placements.
I have played vidya since 1987, I am pretty old, and have used lots of vidya controllers. Additionally I used vidya controllers in their prime, I owned all the systems as a kid growing up etc
It is my opinion that the xbox 360 controller (latest revision) is actually the best vidya controller ever made. If it had a really great dpad that was good for fighting games and old console games, it'd shoot so stratospherically high in this regard that it'd stand 100% beyond any other controller.
But it doesn't, so as I see it, it's simply squarely better than any other controller. Exceptions if you use your controller mostly for old console games, etc, but that's not really what we're talking about...realistically most people are buying a controller these days for Dark Souls 3 or something.
