I've been trying to get used to hold notes in Extreme which are on a whole different level than Hard. They're so clearly designed for arcade controls that I can't shake the feeling of playing an inferior version of the game.
Songs in Extreme seem to continuously try to have you hold the 4 buttons, so if I see them coming, I try pressing X and O with the right thumb and Triangle, Square with the left thumb. It's definitely not comfortable after an hour of playing, let me tell you.
Of course if I see something like a Square coming right after a Circle I don't even bother trying that bullshit with one thumb.
