Many of them are teens who were too young, or people who just missed out, or fanboys too dumb to build a PC that are excited for true HD versions, or even Xbots who jumped ship to Sony for the PS4 and are hype to play GOW/TLOU/Etc. for the first time.

Its true. All I think about is playing games from last gen because even if it was a meh gen, it was still so much better than the last one. Online really started to flourish after the DC and Xbox started it in 2000. The 360 controller was perfect. The jump to HD and next gen, it felt like a big splash. Better multiplayer experiences.
But now even when going back to those, almost every game is 30fps and I feel like there is insane delay input. I have no idea how I played through these games and got so good at them. Even more newer ones, like Gears of War 3 for example. After going from Gears UE to it, it just feels like a completely different game. I dont know the last time there was a gen this bad but fuck. All I wish is everything I cared for from last gen was remastered at 60fps for this gen. Newer/younger game designers just dont have it in them.

this feels like another issue desu. the middle class is being squeezed out of existence, immigration and automation is sucking up more jobs, people are less happy in relationships. theres going to be a giant class gap and all people will have is their phones and cheap sex to keep them happy. what I'm saying is that there is less money to spend on games, because costs of living are going up and theres just less money to go around so freely nowadays

Not exactly where I thought things would be if I went back a decade. On a less damning note, the Umihara Kawase series coming stateside was a hell of a plus.
The ps3 made the "no games" meme famous and even it had games after the 2 year mark.
3 years into current gen and the libraries are still year 1 pathetic
