This Massdrop ends in 3 hours and I can't decide whether I want this monitor for only $225 or

The new ASUS MG248Q for $35 more.
I can't afford a 1440p screen and a GPU that can run 1440p reliably over 60fps in any game.
I was planning on getting the RX480 to replace my 560ti.
Anyone have the MG248Q and can provide some info on it? No reliable reviews out yet.
Please help me /v/
did you check displaylag.com?

Just did. They don't have either.
TFT Central will release a review of the MG248Q in a week.

The MG248Q is supposedly an update to this display with freesync capability and a new improved TN panel.
but for some reason there aren't many reviews of it yet, none from the trusted websites anyway

well, the asus has a much better contrast ratio

Yeah that's one of the weak points of the Nixeus. It has gamma issues too, it comes with 2 gamma settings. On and off and both settings are off the 2.2 ideal. So it needs further calibration to get just right. Also an annoying blue LED when it's on.
If I just go for the ASUS without waiting for the review what's the worst that could happen? I'm sure it will be a superb 1080p gaming monitor at least on par with the XG2401.
bump for justice
Just remember you won't be getting the monitor for like a month or more from massdrop
what is the best monitor out there?

They ship July 19th according to the info at the bottom. From Nixeus themselves. International is handled by Massdrop.

Unless you want to spend 600++ dollars there will be trade-offs depending on your priorities. Shits so frustrating trying to choose what you want to sacrifice to pay <$300
