You're probably a shill., but I'm actually excited. It's one of the highest quality games built in awhile, it's beautiful as hell and the voice acting is fan-fucking-tastic. It really just didn't have the content tho, especially with all that forced DLC.
I'm going to come back to it most likely tho, I played it for months regardless of the issues, it really is unique and nothing else even compares to it. Plus I've read over the proposed game changes and I'm liking what I see, it's going to make a very fresh new experience.

I'm excited also, I bought in too late to play with a decent population, but was struck how high the production values of the game were, for the brief period that there were enough people playing that I could get a game. Such wasted potential. I imagine the devs at Turtle Rock must be pretty angry at how things turned out. F2P or not, I'm sure 2K will find some way to fuck it up though.

We don't know shit except maps are getting new light, vegetation is being reduced, numbers and class mechanics are getting changed drastically, monsters getting reworked, and that's it.
Turtle says it will revitalize the population, which MIGHT be a F2P option, but it's all rumors. They have hinted that some major changes are coming for months now.

Agreed, everything I need to know about 2K comes from their pricing practices in the Australian Steam store. Many AAA releases are $60USD in the Australian store, while 2K releases are *always* $90USD. They even took legal action against Greenman Gaming to ensure we couldn't buy Steam keys for a reasonable price there. It's fashionable to hate Ubisoft and EA, but 2K is much worse in my experience.

I assume they'll be removing all single player content? Kind of cool though, I did enjoy the Beta and would probably have bough it if it wasn't for all the DLC nonsense.
I'll probably give it another go if it's free, although it depends on what they change of course.
