PS3 version: 30-40FPS (rarely 50)
360 version: 40-60FPS
Wii U version: 40-60FPS (I'm serious)
Bayonetta is native 720p HD on all 3 versions. The PS3 version got a "patch", what it did was add INSTALL option on the main menu.
Installing the game to the hard drive reduces load times to be just about identical to the 360/Wii U versions. The PS3's gamma settings are different than the other two versions. Some particle effects are slightly reduced but the game is the same.

No, it isn't. Bayonetta runs at unlocked framerate on all 3 platforms its on. The PS3 version remains above 30FPS.
You should buy Bayonetta on Wii U or Xbox 360, PS3 last if that's your only platform. It's not a bad game on PS3 or crippled, just not the definite version. It's one of the best action games on PS3.

i ran through ps3 version first because someone said it was ok, and then later got the 360 version and was mad as fuck at the difference

This is mostly only in combat for PS3, running around there are instances where the game drops into the teens. There are a couple instance in combat sub 30, but it involves the fire enemies, which names I don't recall.
