It's one of Disney's best movies, I agree, but I think Disney's greatest film was Pinocchio. The scale of the movie is epic, and its blending of fairy-tale whimsy and fairy-tale horror keeps it interesting over the more slower-paced Sleeping Beauty.
It's been years since I've seen Sleeping Beauty, but I remember not being impressed with it as a kid.

He made a couple of really good games and a lot of fucking awful ones. That's pretty much it.
It's the equivalent of saying, "Avatar is my favorite movie," because everyone and their fucking pet dog saw Sleeping Beauty thanks to Disney marketing.
There's really nothing that special about it except how much time went into the art, same as Avatar.
