Personally, I think the Chook, Doric and Fork are the best vehicles in the game. Auxiliary and turret mounts can be almost as deadly as the heavier stuff. Also, their speed and pretty decent stomping ability really helps them survive in long runs.

>Have fun with your shit armor and not being able to rotate your weapon mounts 360 degrees.
No need for armour if you're so fast and agile you don't get hit. And in terms of weapon rotation agravs are equal to mechs, turret mount weapons rotate independently of the part they're mounted on, and all other weapons rotate with the part that's accounting for the directional armour.

Seriosuly though, I find it amazing how in Brigador everyone I've seen talk about it has a different favourite vehicle.

I've played through it and loved every second of it. Gave me a solid Blade Runner vibe, loved the aesthethics and the music too.

Solid time for a playthrough, especially if you like reading item/location descriptions and exploring the world for the sake of getting to know it, but ultimately I wanted more and I didn't get it, the ending (without spoiling anything) felt rushed.

Like they wanted to do more with the game, but someone said "c'mon, we need to realase it NAO!" and it is what it is... One way or another, worth the money.

Snatcher is amazing for anyone that still hasn't played it, kinda wish Kojima would get back to it at some point, but he probably won't because he's too busy posting Bowie's old albums on Twitter or whatever the fuck he's doing nowadays.

Also I've heard some rumors about Beneath a Steel Sky getting a proper sequel, but that was a while ago now. It'd probably rock, game was creepy as fuck about 2/3 in, not I Have no Mouth and I Must Scream level creepy (another great game btw.), but still.

Wasn't cyberpunk all about globalism?

A big thing I remember from neuromancer is japanese culture having a big influence due to their economic strength, and that urban culture became pretty blurred together since, like, the entire west coast was one big urban development.

Cyberpunk has always been about too many people in too small a space, everyones individuals, in a sense, but everyone is isolated and

Was back in 2013 I've heard something about it most likely, from Wikipedia:
>In September 2012, Revolution announced that Beneath a Steel Sky 2 would be greenlit if their Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse Kickstarter reached $1 million.
>Despite Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse failing to meet the $1 million 'stretch goal', Revolution announced that the success of its crowdfunding campaign had inspired them to greenlight Beneath a Steel Sky 2.
>However, Revolution later clarified that Beneath a Steel Sky 2 will not necessarily be the studio's first project following Broken Sword 5 and that they would "think" about what their next game will be after finishing the Broken Sword game

But then:
>In February 2014 it was reported that Beneath a Steel Sky 2 had never entered production, despite previous reports to the contrary. The reason cited was that the Broken Sword franchise took up the sole focus of the company.

The good news is I guess they're still thinking about it:

And arguably, no one born post-1970 'truly' can.

Dunno, I don't think flamethrowers are that great, at least all the ones in the gamefiles are a little underwhelming since proper flame propagation isn't a thing (and might be pretty OP too). They essentially work like variations of the Ploughman with a different look.

Still, I was a little sad when they officially announced flamers wouldn't make it because of financial reasons, seeing all the flame ammo depots on the maps did make me excited for their addition.

If they dropped the synths and the red and purple people might be able to take it seriously. I can't believe cyberpunk has merged with neo-80s.

There's quite a few interesting unused things in the gamefiles, would be a shame to let it all go to waste. Pic related is a pretty cool and huge map that's apparently inspired by the Kowloon walled city, not used in the game even though it seems to have enemy spawns set up.

The Matrix was basically the look for millennium era cyberpunk. We should have moved on to something new by now. I don't know why all these gamer-dudes think it's supposed to be some kind of period-piece.

Well really it's because in that future, cops are really just hired thugs for megacorps.

Also cops are not "authority", in the real world, breh,

I like sci fi settings, but cyberpunk is really gay and full of pozzed left-wing faggotry. I would love for some cyberfash games.

They act in the name of the law. They act on the authority and as a representative of the government.

I always thought it was pretty libertarian/anarchist, being "punk" and all. If anyone like big government authority it's leftists.

They're civil servants. They, as well as the government, are accountable to the people, even though they may present and try to act otherwise.

Brigador has a dictator that literally did nothing wrong, liberated an entire planet from the control of a megacorp and stopped the people from starving to death* and is then assassinated by said megacorp that also pays people to slaughter civillians just to get their hands back on the planet.

*Well since the orbital guns to stop the company from taking their independece ate up a lot of ressources they still kinda starved a little, but he and the army resolved the entire situation and the ensuing food riots without killing a single protestor.

I just don't trust anything with "punk" in the name. Point is a Cybernazi/Cyberfash game would appeal much more to me than a cyberpunk game. I'm more Punisher/Judge Dredd than "muh ebil corporations"

Could there be a Fallout game set in a post-post apocalyptic cyberpunk future?

Maybe a spinoff or something? The universe does seem to share some similarities to a CP universe
>>
>>343921154
You're thinking of one of the characters in the novel. Rome managed to de-escalate the protest HE was assigned to. Great Leader had nothing to do with it and there were assuredly casualties in the grand scheme of things.
>>
>>343921189
Eh, I'd like to play as a downtrodden member of the proletariat without having to get all left-wing college student about it. The key is for your cyberpunk punk to actually be impoverished.

Even if you don't care for the game, there's a tie-in novel/audiobook you can get seperataley from the perspective of a platoon of the loyalist army in the night where Great Leader dies and shit hits the fan, definitely worth a read.

Though the entire lore of the game is pretty subtle and it's nearly entirely in the item descriptions.

>Great Leader had nothing to do with it and there were assuredly casualties in the grand scheme of things.
Yeah, I was being a little biased in my description, the point was more that Great Leader and his regime isn't just portrayed as some powerhungry dick. And I know Rome was the officer responsible for handling the food riots, but I think saying GL had nothing to do with it is a little weird in a dictatorship if you know what I mean.

Off-topic, but have you ever read "Altered Carbon" by Richard Morgan? I just finished reading it, and it is one hell of a ride. It's a great cyberpunk novel that's not super gay. I hadn't read anything for fun in like 5 years (I've been at uni) and I got sucked in and read it in a few days. It's about an ex-super-duper-special forces guy who gets taken out of prison to be a private investigator for an ultra-wealthy guy who was murdered. In the future, people can have their minds uploaded and copied and shit so he thinks he was murdered and wants to find out who killed him, but he's sitll alive because he had a back up of his mind made and he was put in a new copy, or "sleeve" as they are called.

Anyway the book is written in a 1st person perspective and reads very easily. The writing is vivid but not plodding. it's paced very well. There are equal parts philosophy and excitement. I'd recommend it to anyone with even a passing interest in sci fi.

If I recall correctly, one of the pilots you can select is a trigger-happy sadist (I know, I know, most of them are) and she was part of the NEP's 'peacekeeping' force. They kept peace by quelling the civil unrest with Tinkers.

Because the whole point of punk is the rejection of the system.

yeah, I'm almost certain it's going to be a shitshow. If it's anything like other netflix series it's going to be gay as fuck. Oh well. I still have the books.

There's descriptions like that not just for the factions, but for the districts, vehicles, pilots and weapons as well. They sunk a lot of time into world building. It's fucking great.
