There's nothing wrong with people coming to PC gaming but with it came with the kind of obnoxious fanboys that were pretty much exclusive to consoles, since PC was an open market, Microsoft always being heavily criticized, kept that culture from really forming, that's where Valve comes in with Steam creating the console equivalent and elevating Gabe to the head figure of PC gaming, a personality people could form into an idol.
