Playing this for the first time. Should I pump more stats into FP or badges? Also what are the best badges to go for?

Danger Mario, no HP/FP, BP only
I always do BP until I hit level 33 and they're maxed out, then work on HP and FP. All Badges that increase your Attack and your Partners' Attack, both Feeling Fine badges, Zap Tap, and if you want to use only one type of attack the Badge that increases its power but locks you out of the other type. Then whatever special attacks and utility Badges you want.

I'm on my first play through in a few years and I'm having fun splitting everything on FP/BP.
Gotta play extra carefully to ensure you're not wiped out by bullshit surprise moves later down the line.
Also, the variety of attacks made available thanks to badges makes FP/BP really worth it.
