He can discourage people from entering an area because very few characters can stand up to the DPS and sheer health advantage, but he can't really land any kills unless somebody sets up for him with a stun or whatever, or the enemy team doesn't immediately turn tail when they come face to face with him at full health in a 1v1.
He's also a lot harder to position due to being easy to bodyblock and having an unreliable escape.

Well multiplayer games are dime a dozen. There is not enough players to populate every single one that comes out.
People swarm the top 10 or so games the rest of them will fade away after a few weeks. You need some heavy PR to kickstart something as hard as Overwatch did.

its not really all that sad. i reminisce tribes games but realize i dont really like it that much. it has the sonic fanfare, GOTTA GO FAST shit but combat boils down to a guessing game where you press 3 buttons 29/30ths of the game. it isnt fast or interesting in the same way as quake 3 where levels dont just feel like randomly generated hills (and i know they are, this isnt a positive feature). just really flashy but shallow game and the fanbase reflects that

I know there's a few people around here who've played it.I personally haven't played for about a month however, but from the looks of patch notes they've done nothing to really shake up the meta so my knowledge is still valid.
I'm just waiting to see if they'll swallow their pride and go F2P after the last of the season pass content drops, so a player boost could occur. They already have all the systems in place for a quick transition.
