When I discovered that he had a whopping 5000 gold (never knew about the mudcrab) on him I litreally sold all my house. I collected all the enchanted weapons for show.

I just realized that I've never used a console command in Morrowind.
If I needed money / lockpicks / crafting materials in Skyrim or Oblivion I just gave gave them myself to avoid the soulless grinding.
For some reason I never felt the need to do that in Morrowind.
