Geralt because he has 2 swords
>>
I don't even know who the guy on the left is.
>>
>>343770335
Talion because his arrow slow time thingy.
>>
>>343770335
Maybe if Geralt's Dimeridium bombs work and make Talion's abilities useless then he has a chance to win, otherwise Talion is just too broken in this fight to loose.
>>
>>343770335
All Geralt would have to do is drink a fuckton of potions without getting too intoxicated, oil up his steel sword with a fuck humans oil and aard and roll his way to victory.
>>
>>343770335
If Dimeritium bombs, specter oil and yrden work, and Geralt has prep time, Geralt would probably win.
If they don't work and Talion has use of all of Celebrimbor's powers, then Talion because that shit is very broken
If all of Geralt's tools work and Talion also has all his ghost powers, I would probably give it to Talion but it would be close.
>>
Talions teleportation arrows would fuck Gerald up.

>Generic broken Tolkien protagonist with god-powers

vs
>Mutant that's a little better than humans who relies on preparation, traps and potions in a gritty, more realistic world

gee I dunno boss
>>
Talion just has to spam counter like Batman.
>>
>>343772058
Even for Middle Earth Talion is extremly broken compared to everything that isn't a demigod or some hero of the fist age.
>>
>>343772058
>Generic broken Tolkien protagonist

Please don't drag Tolkien into this, Talion is just some shitty gary stu they made up for the game.
>>
I'm downloading Shadow of Mordor right now, I always (kinda) wanted to play it but it was just too heavy to even pirate, it is worth a play right?
>>
>>343772058
But if we look at feats surely Geralt has fought and beaten tougher foes.

The only enemies Talion fought for the most time were orcs and orc bosses. Sauron was the only notable fight he had.
>>
>>343773092
>but it was just too heavy to even pirate
wut
>>
>>343773092
Yea it's fun. After awhile you'll find yourself feeling very overpowered but in the beginning swarms of orcs and fuck you up if you're not careful.
The nemesis system is really nice. Surprised it hasn't popped up in more games yet.
>>
>>343770690
So does Whatshisface but one of them is broken.
>>
>>343773092
Nah, it's a shitty Assassin's Creed rip-off that shits on the lore.
>>
>>343773092
Yes, it's pretty enjoyable and bullying orcs is a load of fun.
>>
>>343773267
But he also beat sauron you dumbass. If a gamr has a character fight nothing but mooks and then takes down a god, that means the character could beat anything below that.
>>
>>343773550
Mad Max should have gotten a nemesis system. Waste of potential.
>>
>>343773281
Slow internet and 50Gb download when it first came out, I'm just downloading this now because I found this 20 GB repack, look how much it takes me to download 19 GB and think how much would 50 take

>>343773739

I want to see that nemesis system eveybody talked about that week in action, I don't expect anything groundbreaking.
>>343773863
I like Mad Max game a lot.
>>
>>343773267
Beating Sauron is quite a feat. Also don't forgett that he also had enough power to mindcontroll an entire orc army.
>>
Geralt will research a way to exorcise Celebrimor from Talion's body effectively killing both.

God damn, every single fucking time.
IT WAS NOT SAURON
Sauron does not appear in this game with exception of Celebrimbor's flashback. A guy in spiky armor you fight in a QTE at the end is not Sauron, it's just one of his bitches.

Which of the two would piss off more people if they won?
The answer is usually who they will pick
>>
>>343773941
>I want to see that nemesis system eveybody talked about that week in action, I don't expect anything groundbreaking.
It's pretty cool actually. Whenever you kill a named orc there's a % chance that he won't stay dead and come back later for revenge, showing signs of the battle (like missing an arm, a crack on the head, being afraid of fire if you killed him through burning etc.).
Also if you get killed by an orc your murderer immediately gets a promotion, rising up in ranks and becoming stronger.
>>
>>343774841
>Also if you get killed by an orc your murderer immediately gets a promotion, rising up in ranks and becoming stronger.
I guess the game has some kind of canon respawn reason like Dark Souls
>>
>>343772186
then it's a stalemate
>>
>>343772058
tbf Tolkien wrote middle earth to be reminiscent of mythology. Mythological heroes like Heracles and Sigurd are basically anime protags who slaughter armies and magical beasts no sweat, and are protected by plot armour (until they get their one bullshit weakness exploited that is). So some of the heroes in Tolkien's works are equally OP.

Talion is just a fanfiction Mary Sue tho.
>>
>>343775021
Yeah you're this spirit shit possessed dude who can't stay dead.
Same goes for some orcs though, and it's pretty funny to see the same orc you destroyed at the start of the game come back later as a chieftain with missing limbs, eye and talking like a retard because of too many hits to the head, yet stronger than ever and with 2-3 named orc bodyguards following.
>>
Except Geralt would never fight talion unless he started killing humans
If anything they would become allies
>>
>>343775021
Err. Yeah. It does. Your guy is cursed never to die, and each time he's killed, he revives at a glowy spirit tower.
>>
>>343775337
That's why it's a what-if scenario.
>>
>>343775297
Well I'm getting hyped for a game I know it sucks.
Tell me naughty things about the game Anon
>>
>>343775531
It doesn't suck, really. The orcs are funny to mess with, just avoid the stupid gather collectables quests and you're fine.
There's also an ability that lets you "brand" orcs so that they're forced to secretely work for you, which then you can get promoted to become the boss' bodyguards only to unleash their betrayal once the battle starts.

Or you can just brand them with explosive brands and detonate them later.
>>
>>343770335
Geralt, easy.

Talion is magical, if Geralt hits him with Silver or uses a dimeritium bomb, he's fucked.

Shit, Aragorn is pretty much the only one in the LotR universe who'd stand a chance against Geralt - and even then, that's assuming Geralt has no potions and no bombs and doesn't use signs
>>
>>343770335
literally who
>>
>>343770335
Well one of them literally can't die.
>>
>>343776098
Geralt has super-human reflexes so I don't really see Aragorn lasting long against him.
>>
>>343773941
desu the nemesis system is cool, but like everything else in the game, kinda shallow. Fucking around with the Orc hierarchy doesn't really change the game in any significant way.

I mean you get your favourite Orc to warchief and that's kinda just it. You can't command an Orc army, you can't start a civil war and seed desent in Sauron's army. Having little randomly generated Orcs change over the course of the game is cool, but the whole system feels like an end in itself, rather than a means to give the player more control over the game world and affect it in any meaningful way.

SoM is a 6/10 game at best. The only reason it gets so much hype is because it was the only thing that came out in the shit tier year that was 2014.
>>
>>343770335
I enjoyed SoM more than Witcher 3.

Actually, let me correct that:

I actually enjoyed SoM
>>
>>343776098
Lol wut. Unless I'm missing something about Aragorn in the books then I'm not exactly sure how he'd be more of a threat to Geralt than Talion would be.
>>
>>343774623
Talion definately. Thing is with Geralt though is he doesn't fight monsters blindly. He would hear about some ghost or some shit, find Talion, realise he's a decent guy and just leave him be. Either that or he'd find some underhanded way to exorcise him and then fight a gimped version he's actually able to beat.
>>
>>343776098
>Talion is magical, if Geralt hits him with Silver or uses a dimeritium bomb, he's fucked.
That´s one hell of an assumption.
It is as argumentatively broken as the claim
>jedi would be psykers in 40k, so demons would posess them
It is like comparing apples to apple like things from alpha centauri.
>>
>>343776506
That´s not a correction, but a specification.

Geralt could probably break the possession between Talion and Kellogs Boo Berries without even having a fight.
>>
>>343775848
>just avoid the stupid gather collectables quests and you're fine.

Not him but why? Boring?
>>
>>343777109
No, it's a correction with a reticence.

The full sentence is
>I actually enjoyed SoM, whereas I found W3 boring
>>
>>343777165
Not that anon, but don't avoid them. They reward you with Runes that give you special abilities.

Some Runes are shitty percentages, but some others actually change your gameplay a lot, like the one that makes it so after you have more than 5 kills you do more damage. This means that you don't want to do finishers anymore, and try to fight normally without getting hit.

It's great.
>>
>>343776997
>That´s one hell of an assumption.
Not that guy but assuming the characters would fight on an even ground (with all of their related capabilities present) then it really isn't far-fetched that Geralt's silver swords would be effective on Talion.
>>
>>343777223
No, the full sententce was:
I enjoyed SoM more than Witcher 3.
As this has no spelling errors or grammatical faults, and the ultimate statement of enjoying SoM more than something you did not enjoy still holds true, you did not correct a thing, except maybe what you wanted to convey, which falls into the area of specifying a very general statement, which
>I enjoyed SoM more than Witcher 3.
certainly is.

A correction would change the meaning of the sentence, which your clarification did not.
>>
>>343774068
Black hand was literally sauron in disguise
>>
Ciri vs Talion is a much better comparison.
>>
>>343770335

One is a undead Wraith that can not be killed able to create an entire army enslaved to their will.

The other was killed by a farmer kid with a pitchfork.
>>
>>343776997
Even if the silver doesn't - the dimeritium bomb would stop all magic

If neither of them can use magic, Geralt has a seriously huge advantage
>>
>>343778398
I bet Geralt would be able to figure out Talion's source of power and do some nasty shit to him.

It did, however.
The sentence
>I enjoyed SoM more than Witcher 3
Implies that when playing Witcher 3 I had an amount of enjoyiment higher than zero.

Which is not the case, so I corrected it.

Poor Talion

For a second I thought Geralt was being MOOM'd, he looks extremely symmetric in this picture.

Except for the swords, of course.
>>

I take it that's the name of the other guy because, you know, I read OP's filename.
