6th gen is arguably the best generation overall. The technological leap from 5th gen was impressive, all four consoles had worthwhile exclusives, multiplats were great too.
It's upsetting how many people still hold the "Xbox only had Halo", "Gamecube only had Melee", "PS2 only was good as a DVD player", "Dreamcast was just garbage" mentality. Literally all four were worth owning. Possibly the only gen where all options were worth owning. Not to mention, easy piracy nowadays. Xboxes are hackable, Gamecubes (or, even easier, Wiis) are hackable, PS2s (or, if you're lucky enough to be on the right firmware, PS3s) are hackable, and Dreamcasts don't even need to be hacked. I love backwards compatibility as much as the next guy, but PS4's hardware isn't a simple upgrade over PS3. It's a completely different architecture. Only reason why PS3 initially had it was because they took the financial risk of implementing it, which contributed to the infamous price.
