Who's the best child unit and why is it Morgan?
Help me decide on my team for my first Lunatic playthrough /v/.
I was going to make a female Robin in hopes that she's less boring than the male one, but female Morgan is so good, makes me afraid the male one will be shit.

Male Morgan depends a bit on the dad, and also wants Robin to pass down galeforce to him, also means the other dads are in higher demand unless you marry somebody like Basilio, a child, or a spotpass character

Not particularly hard, really. But it sounds like a good thing to get at least. Speaking of Brady, I've been thinking up how to make him a badass monk but can't decide between Henry as Dark Knight for Life Taker, or Vaike for the strength points.

I was thinking that, too. I had Nah fucking shit up so hard in my first playthrough, but that's because I married Donnel to Nowi and she got Aptitude. She was ridiculous, pretty much 50+ on half her stats, 40+ on the others with the Dragonstone+ and paired up.

Because s/he literally has access to every single class in the game. What kind of a stupid question is this? The only negative parts are that female Morgan can only get one male class skill (from Tactician), male Morgan can only get one female class skill (from Tactician), and you can only get Manakete Morgan through male Tactician + one of the other Manaketes.

Depends on what your access to bolt-axes is like, Vaike and Maribelle cancel each other's str/magic modifiers, so they aren't particularly great for each other. If you do have a place to get bolt-axes and he isn't paired I'd say Ricken might be good, plus he can get Luna from Ricken assuming Luna affects def or res, not just def

I was checking supports of Ricken with Tharja just to see where it would lead. I was not expecting much but ended up disappointed nonetheless. I never got the S support so I may be wrong.

Brady would then also get cavalier class so you wouldn't necessarily have to get Ricken to learn it, and GK is very much a transition class for you to pick up the skills and change out, so it may be more of a postgame thing
Just finished Conquest, and Birthright. Do I start Revelations, or go for the children characters (I have none so far in either PT)

Oh baby, this is what I desired. I enjoyed Awakening for what it was, but 90% of the maps were "kill everything", and the rest "kill the boss", plus the overworld map and grinding made it worse for me.

Go for hard mode if this the only version you'll play and you're a veteran, otherwise play lunatic Birthright first to get a hang of the new mechanics then follow-up on lunatic Conquest.
Birthright is mind-numbingly boring if you play Conquest first.

Maps are far more interesting, but a lot of them have a central gimmick, which makes each map a lot more unique, but there are gimmicks like the wind village, or the ninja cave which you'll quickly get sick of.
Gameplay wise it's a lot harder, and there's a lot to re-learn, like there's a lot more depth in choosing weapons now, and if you haven't worked out how dual-strikes and guards work now by chapter 5 you'll have a rough time.
Also characters have their own unique skill like Not-Owain gets a 10 crit bonus if you give him a forged weapon with a name that's more than 10 characters, Charlotte gets extra damage and crit towards female enemies etc.

I assume the new mechanics are explained even if I choose the hardest mode available on Conquest.

Severa's skill is really hard to make good use of since the initial crit usually kills whatever you're fighting.
i could only see a skill like that being good when fighting tanky bosses or generals if you don't have an armorslayer/magic

Doing that, I actually really liked chapters 23, 24, 25, and 27 on lunatic. Trying to turtle on those maps would just get you killed as enemies would swarm you from an indefensible location. Some of the best FE chapters I've played, IMO. Of course, Conquest was better overall.

It was easily the hardest chapter in the game, most people agree. I used an entrap staff on Hans to kill him on the second phase in the beginning room, and Keaton was an unstoppable meat wall along with Corrin McDodgePants to hold off the berserkers/generals. I just sat at that chokepoint right outside Iago's range and waited until they were all dead from crashing against my defenses.

Revelation balance is non-existant, the only usable units are the royals and barely a few non-royals, everyone else joins at garbage times with garbage stats that you'd need to grind to have them get good since the regular enemies would massacre them. At least child seals help if you're able to get a few kids.

Robin is the only father to truly fix Nah, and if you go +Def you can a pair of really tanky dragon daughters.
Tharja is tied for 2nd highest Magic mod, and has positive Speed and Defense mods so she's good for Morgan, and Robin fixes all of Noire's problems. Probably the most bang for you buck out of all the Gen 1 moms.but this over course means you must marry Tharja.
Sully's mods are kinda meh so doesn't give Morgan much, and all Kjelle has plenty of classes so all she really wants is Galeforce and/or nice mods.

Nowi is for strength, and Tharja for magic, and magic is so god damn OP in Awakening it's ridiculous. And usually I'm pretty content with what Donnel gives Nah, Manaketes are OP anyway
