The graphical design clashes with the gameplay to much. The game has good ideas but... well playing it feels like putting bleach in your eyes. But miko is the best character healing kung fu fungus sensi is best.

It just got old and kind of lost it's luster with patches that changed the best parts of it. Along with several other MMO's biting chunks out of it's userbase until WoW came along and fucked it up.

Everquest didn't fuck up... it's just old as fuck and nobody plays it anymore. Back when it was at it's peek.. that shit was rolling dough for Sony.
Overwatch just has way more sexy hot characters. Both Battleborn and Overwatch was released around the same time and people flocked to the better looking one.
At one point in time... Pornhub announced that their most searched term was "Overwatch". Sex sells. Catering to sjw does not.

I bought it during the summer sale and I'm really enjoying it.
I don't think most people know that the pve is decent and you can skip pvp entirely if you don't like that - bosses, long maps (20-50 mins), item drops etc.
matchmaking has never taken more than a minute tops for me, both for pve and pvp.
the updates and the communication from gearbox make it seems they are at least aware of the problems and are trying to fix shit.

some of it is funny, some of it is shit. I think you can you can disable "battleborn banter" in the options and only receive "critical" updates. anyway, I completely turned it off since I don't care about the story after the first run through of the story.
Mudflation in EQ past Velious (though PoP was massively fun) and spreading the playerbase too far out, GoD killed the game. Mobs having a shit ton of HP and kill times for grind going out of control for solo players (which is now mandatory from ~1-95 as there are no groups and a healthy grind still. Lack of adventure and exploring dungeons in favor of outdoor garbage (like exploring Seb - massive run, not a linear entrance/exit from zone in, moderate-risk/high reward, dragon at the end, twisting hallways, traps, etc).
Bait and switching people with SC sales then removing the option to purchase subs with it.
The biggest one of all, catering to multiboxers and leaving people with a turd of a game. Then further gutting live by focusing on progressive servers that you know are going to end and the content is no longer a mystery.
Lack of fear as they removed corpse runs and corpse rot.
Didn't put the massive amounts of revenue back into the game and instead created a billion turds and vaporware that all flopped.
I dropped out of high school in 2001 to play this game and haven't left my room since. It breaks my heart to see them abuse the shit out of the game and rape it into multibox revenue decaying death.
