I feel such pity for those that backed it from the beginning. Fans had to deal with so much from community incompetence,style chances, unity engines,indie game looks with a big budget in an effort to see a new franchise. One they loved with care and nostalgia. And well look at them now. Those that never backed it or had any heart in the effort if they fancy, can play and gain as much if not the same amount as someone who backed it for 60 dollars. I was an anime fan on prom night. Me and my friends discussed the currently airing anime, and if I recall correctly it was right around the end of that year's fall season so it was pretty exciting and we had tons to discuss.
We hung around the buffet and had a blast. And after prom we had a LAN party for the following 48 hours and held our own game tournaments and binged the final anime episodes of the season using a giant projector image.

I backed it like a retard, I had my time to be angry about how miserably everything went, I had my time where I tried (and failed) to get a refund, I had my time where I lashed out on any forum I could think of about how much of a bunch of con artists these dipshits are.
At this point I'm just enjoying the ride of watching it get treated like the trash it is. I got a few dollars back from selling my backer codes online, I got a bit of a life lesson about not supporting crowdfunding campaigns, and now I get to watch a trainwreck. The Mega Man franchise is one of the most populated franchises of all time. They have over 40 video games, which I believe makes it the second largest video game franchise in the world (barring Mario, but maybe beating Final Fantasy). Within that franchise, there are at least a dozen games that are considered amazing, and at least a dozen more that are good to okay.
You could spend a year playing every Mega Man game (Even if you went full NEET and powered through every single MM game as fast as possible it would still take at least a month), and then there are the fanmade levels and creations that go on endlessly.
Sure, does it suck that Capcom stopped making Mega Man games? Yes.

TOR's failure is drastically overplayed by /v/. It did well at launch numbers wise, and was all round an alright game. Like most MMOs it just suffered from shitty endgame, which is what caused most of the drop off. Then they added a bunch of improvements, and since it's gone f2p it's become really successful.
