Painfully mediocre gameplay, objectively broken story, poor theming, weak characters, good aesthetics and decent soundtrack. Honorable mention to the boss battle with Comstock's dead wife for being the absolute worst fucking time I've ever had with a videogame from the past gen.
It's honestly a really poor game overall, I wouldn't even give it a score above 5. If it didn't have the Shock name nobody would've sung it's non-existent praises.

It's a mediocre FPS with a shitty magic system and weak story. The inclusion of a womyn sidekick is was got it most the praise, though. It's really a shame, because the Bioshock games have pretty cool settings, and nice aesthetics, but the rest of them are dreadfully boring.

On its own, it's playable but nothing stands out. The visuals are impressive, the shooting is good, Elizabeth a qt, and it can be atmospheric once in a while.
If you go into it expecting something similar to Bioshock 1 and 2, it's awful. The combat is simplistic and boring; you can only hold two weapons, which is more than enough because the carbine is all you need to kill nearly everything. Vigors are practically useless outside of dealing with the odd "tough" enemy, and then they make dealing with those enemies no harder than dealing with the normal flock. I almost never used them, because there's almost no reason to. Elizabeth makes sure you've always got ammo, health, and salts(EVE) by tossing you them at random. If there's a tough part, there will be sources of infinite health and ammo she can spawn in with her powers. There's no real way for the player to tackle obstacles in their own way, because the game is so simple that any different play styles would ultimately just be taking advantage of the same things.
Dealing with the Handymen, which are like tougher, less-frequent Big Daddies, is an annoying matter of using the skyline to zip between platforms while chipping away at their health. It's not hard, they're just giant bullet sponges. Even dealing with more than one is more annoying than hard.
The story isn't anything special either. Where I thought Bioshock had amazing atmosphere, great characters with great motivations, a protagonist that fit in nicely, and an amazing ending(in both games), Bioshock Infinite is full of false choices and "deep" symbolism that's about as deep as a paper bag. The world is quickly forgotten because it's not immersive at all(though the visuals remain beautiful throughout), and you often question why you're supposed to be doing what you're doing. None of the characters are relatable, the enemies are lifeless, and the locations, except for a short few, all blend together.

Also I forgot, you have a weird overshield like you're in a Halo game. ANY difficult parts are made laughably easy by taking cover until your shield comes back. You can find items in out-of-the-way places that you can use to upgrade either you health, salts capacity, or your shield. After finding a handful of these, you're basically unkillable.
Also they're not out of the way at all if you're used to exploring in games(like you would in Bioshock 1 or 2). You don't even need to look hard; where Bioshock 1 and 2 required you to hack, equip a certain plasmid, or seriously go out of your way, Bioshock Infinite puts these things behind every locked door and in every corner. You don't even need to pick the locks, you just tell Elizabeth to pick them for you.

i played this at a lan center at a Taiwan airport to try to kill the time between a 6 hour delayed flight. Thought it would be easy to just breeze through the campaign and by the time I was finished by flight would be ready. NOPE. This game was boring as fuck and I actually stopped playing because shitposting on /v/ sounded funner than finishing this fucking game.
