It kind of is. If winning requires sacrificing fun (aka playing a role you dislike) then it is tryhard. You can have fun without winning even in a competitive environment.
I swear this game forces a nearly 50% winrate on you. Every time I join a match I'm always put on the losing team right before Defeat, sometimes I barely have enough time to pick a character.
