I feel as though they made Super Mario Maker a long time ago, or a stage editor of the same likeness, and since the original NSMB for the DS they have rehashed the same game while adding in one new item per game and new level layouts.
Don't forget who Mario is to Nintendo. Mario is one of the safest bets, he cannot speak sentances, always does the right thing regardless of circumstance, and can't be stopped at the end of the day. He's Nintendo's Mary Sue. They aren't going to alter that very easily.

Anyone who still plays Nintendo's rehashes is a sad person who I feel sorry for. Its no better than buying yhe yearly Madden at this point.
