You can complete hearts of stone whenever you get to the level for it, it doesn't effect the main story. But there is some dialogue in blood and wine that assumes Geralt has completed the main story line. So I would save that for last.

I got this game a month after it released on my PC. I had read a lot of reviews praising it to be a breath of fresh and that it was GOTY material. I got excited. DD is great if you're only looking for gameplay and exploration. The actual plot is very generic until the end, where it goes full on anime, but the dragon is very enjoyable as a character. The gameplay itself is very fun and varied, with classes that actually feel unique.

They really fucked this up imo. The entire game is pretty much witcher gear only, dont bother with the rest.
Witcher gear should have had midling stats so that you need to choose whether you want to look good + occasional potion enhancement or do you want actual strong armor with strong swords with more slots. As it is there isnt much a reason to use other stuff.
In the dlc they adjusted this slightly but its still not there, no reason to use much else

BEST ENDING:Syanna dies, Detlaff lives
Syanna pays for her crimes. Geralt has to spend a few weeks in prison, but he's dealt with far worse. If Detlaff dies, Regis will pretty much never get to come back to Toussaint, which would be okay-ish, except Geralt now lives there. Syanna's life is not worth Regis facing centuries of punishment - and not to mention there's no doubt other higher vampires would hear of Regis' status, and would likely treat him worse because of it. Yes, Dettlaff should have to face justice too - but unlike Syanna, you can't do it without inflicting suffering on your friend. Not to mention, in the "both sisters live" ending, Syanna faces no punishment for her crimes. Fuck that.
