Have you ever played vidya with a stranger at an arcade?

Was it weird or cool?
>>
>>343454739
When I went to Japan I went to an arcade late at night and some girl gave me a blowjob behind some racing booths.
It was great.
>>
>>343454739
almost everyday
>>
>>343454739
All the time at my local arcade and varuious Round 1 arcades I've visited. It's part of the experience because you have no idea if they're fly-reflex good or just there to flick a few sticks.

I once played Marvel vs Capcom against this Asian kid who kicked my ass at it. The little shit was even trying to show off by hitting the buttons with a flourish

I'm glad this is being continued.
>>

it's not the same thing, anon. doing something in person causes more stress than through VoIP.
>>

I did and it was FUCKING AWESOME

We played house of the dead 2 and finished it with some coins left, we high fived after and then fucked off our own way like true men, then I realized it was a girl with just short hair. (I was 14 and she was flat chested with short shorts and a normal t-shirt so there was literally no way of telling that was a fucking girl)

I regretted not asking her number ever since, we were so in sync.
>>
>>343454909
And then you waked up
>>
>>343454739
>Have you ever played vidya with a stranger at an arcade?
When I was in high school, everyday

>Was it weird or cool?
dunno
play with stranger in arcade is pretty normal thing here
>>
Played metal slug 4 with some guy at a hotel when I was like 12. I ran out of credits towards the end but he cleaned up last boss like it was nothing. Entire playthrough he only used three credits
>>
>>343456874

>>
>>343456874

>>
>>343454909
And then everyone in the arcade stood up and clapped and the girl handed you a thousand bucks
>>
Played a couple match with some random a couple days ago;
>Street Fighter Alpha 3 arcade machine at this Sportsplex, dude was chilling beside it and I offered a match while waiting for my friends to arrive, kinda regret that.
>Dude turned out to the living impersonation of a salt lick and was possibly insane, I main Dudley and coincidentally so did he, pretty even matches but he kept making... noises.
>Strange animalistic grunting and barking underneath his breath everytime he lost a round/match or whiffed a special. I did consider leaving but I was enjoying the fights, after awhile I did end up leaving after his grunting turned to death threats.
>Anyways; couple days later I came back to find that machine was gone, I asked around and employee that worked there said some guy trashed it.
I felt a little guilty desu, SFA3 machines are rare outside of Japan
>>
>>343454739
tfw there are no video game arcades near me like in the 90s.

It fucking hurts. All the arcades are replaced with smart phone games on bigger screens
>>
When I was in the 4th grade, I used to go to an arcade and play Gauntlet: Dark Legacy a lot. Every now and then, there'd be this mid-30's neckbeard that had all of the characters maxed out and would just grind hell. Nobody else had characters that could keep up with his, so he pretty much bullied everyone off the console by picking the hardest level until they inevitably died. I remember asking him if I could have some of the health pickups (he took them all since he was so fast) and he told me to shut the fuck up. Brutal, dude.

>>
The other day I was at a game con and they had an IIDX Pendual machine set up; I was playing when some other guy wearing an Osu shirt came up and complemented my playing (honestly I wasn't doing that amazing). I asked him if he wanted to play, so we played a bunch of rounds together.

We both happened to like happy hardcore, so we were both pretty happy about the song selections.

He happened to be in the top 100 US players for Osumania, but it turned out he only ever played 4 key so he didn't do so hot.

In any case we had a good time and friended each other in Osu.

KOF is a national sport where i come from, of course i've fought strangers at the arcade.

>That guy who would get mad for beating his little brother and then challenge you to "avenge him" but you also beat his ass
>That trap emo guy who looked up to you and you took his anal virginity

I used to play fighting games in arcades all the time when I was a lad. It was okay, everyone was either my age or a little older.

>>343454739
Yeah. Very recently too.
I've tried playing fight nights at my local arcade recently. It's always fun to play with other people, though I'm not very good. I do magic drafts too, don't know if that counts.
I sometimes talk to people playing the bemani games since I play them too but I've never actually played with them.

>>
>>343454739
Lots of time. Even if I was shy and I could hardly make new friends, I made many new friends during holidays thanks to arcades. So it was usual for me to play at arcades with strangers, mostly co-op. I will never forget the time I beat Die Hard Arcade with a random guy at almost sage age with me and we only spent 2-3 coins each. Good times.

I used to play a lot of metal slug and rampage world tour with many random people.

All the time until a month or so ago when the last arcade at my city closed. It was mostly multi arcade machines with people only playing KOF and some other damaged cabinets, but it was still nice to go and play some matches.
>>
Played like 20 rounds of Skull Girls with some girl, I had never played before but knew the basics of fighters, I'm guessing she was the same. We played about 20 rounds with me winning most of them, I would pretend to tryhard while going easy on her to encourage her. Her friend walked over and told her it was time to go, and right before I got her number my friends did the same to me. Was fun while it lasted though, I'd totally pick SkullGirls up now if the community wasn't dead.

I live in Greece but you mostly find them at malls. Then again, most arcade games in Japan today are also casual stuff but for japanese audience.

I once played DDR and had a guy "shadowing" me (playing on the Player 2 pad without actually paying).

It was already considered a weird thing to do within the DDR community, but this happened a few years after DDR has run its course and was no longer relevant to gaming in general, so it was even more awkward.

When I was a kid I went to one of those shitty boardwalk arcades and it had an old ass Tekken machine. Played by myself a bit and some smug older kid came up and popped a few quarters in to challenge me. I beat him by spamming buttons because I can't into fighting games but it was all good fun anyway.

The old arcade at the mall near me where the mallgoths hung out had one of those Hokuto no Ken machines. It was fucking great

A few times. At Magfest I played a number of games with people. I played a few games with someone in Project Justice, won 2 out of 3 if I recall correctly. Then I played a fuck ton of Gundam Vs. Gundam NEXT(I think that was the one there), and had a blast. Before that, it was the simpsons arcade which was pretty fun.
